Chapter 145 'Admission Ticket'

Todd was surprised by Huggins's report, impressed by the Slavic man's boldness and meticulousness, but even more pleased that the man had done him a great favor this time.

Patting the other man's back repeatedly, Todd loudly praised Huggins' actions with delight. He was gradually forming a rough idea about the tickets to the 'Sacred Forest.' But first, he needed to find a way to gain the Claw Tribe's trust.

In the days that followed, Todd stayed at the expeditionary force's camp, drawing up blueprints for strange objects and asking the craftsmen to build them. Amidst this busy work, a week passed, and the first cargo ship from the two tribes, which had sailed south for seafood trade, returned.

People gathered at the seaside and used tow ropes to pull the cargo ship ashore. When Morgan raised his head high with an expression of immense pride and lifted the tarpaulin on the cargo hold, the pile of coins and goods piled up like a small mountain made everyone in the Claw Tribe and the Black Skull Tribe forget to breathe.

I don't know who shouted first, "We're rich now!"

Then, everyone erupted in a deafening cheer.

Three days later, at the entrance to the Sacred Forest, the Claw Chieftain and the Blackskull Chieftain knelt on one knee before Brunhilde, praising the good deeds and grace of the Twilight Knights.

Seeing the approval in the Valkyrie leader's eyes, Todd, seizing the opportunity, quickly directed his craftsmen to present a whole host of strange and unusual items.

A small bottle crafted from silver, adorned with animal hides shaped like pacifiers; a bed, sixty centimeters long and forty centimeters wide, made from fine birch wood coated with exquisite lacquer; a miniature bathtub carved from a single piece of wood, its interior painted with beautiful designs; and most astonishingly, a vast collection of animal dolls sewn from linen, cotton, and buttons…

While everyone was still wondering about the purpose of these things, Brunhilde dismounted, stroked the newly made objects, and had indescribable thoughts in her eyes.

"Chief of Muxi Town, I accept your gift. Now, tell me, what do you want?"

As Todd listened to the silver-haired woman's words, he lowered his head, a smug smile slowly spreading across his face.
