Todd and several Valkyries conducted an on-site investigation and found a hidden space within the metal tower.
It looked somewhat like a passageway, a sloping metal tunnel. After crawling along the passageway for ten minutes, at the end was a vertical 'mirror' that shimmered with a blue light, resembling the surface of liquid mercury.
A Valkyrie tried to reach her hand towards the "mirror," but her palm was bounced away when she was less than ten centimeters away.
With a try-it-and-see attitude, Todd approached the mirror, and just then, a huge suction force came from the mirror, pulling his consciousness into it. His body, however, fell to the ground like a puppet that had lost its strings.
Let your mind leave your body and immerse yourself in this spire; it feels like returning to the womb.
He didn't know how much time had passed, but Todd slowly regained his senses. When he woke up in a daze, the first thing he saw was a towering ancient tree that was radiating a dazzling golden light.
Todd turned his head and looked around at the scenery. Apart from the ancient tree, the rest of the place was a boundless gray-white mist, so thick that nothing else could be seen.
He moved two steps in one direction, and after a moment he realized that he was still in the same place, his position had not changed at all.
Just then, a crisp hoofbeat came from afar through the mist, and a tall, seven-colored mountain goat appeared in front of the Golden Tree.
Todd stared in astonishment at the scene before him, increasingly confused by what was happening.
What surprised him even more was that the divine sheep did not open its mouth, but instead spoke in a woman's voice: "Welcome to the agent's room, soul from afar."
Todd's mind was in chaos; he had so many questions to ask, but didn't know where to begin.
“I have read your memories and seen your journey. You should not be here. Your unique soul has given you the key to open the door.” The divine sheep looked at Todd, its eyes reflecting a sea of stars.
"You know... about my past life?" Todd said haltingly.
"I know... everything about you."
After the divine sheep finished speaking, the scene suddenly changed.
The golden ancient tree disappeared, and a university campus slowly emerged from the mist. Countless students, carrying books and backpacks, emerged from the teaching buildings and laboratories in groups, brushing past Todd.
With trembling hands, Todd felt the campus breeze and sunshine. Everything was so real. He was so excited that his whole body trembled: "This...this is the campus where I used to work..."
Turning his head again, Todd's eyes widened as he saw the divine sheep transform into a young woman wearing a lab coat.
“Wenhua?!” Todd blurted out, immediately realizing what had happened: “Enough! Stop with these boring tricks! Tell me, who are you?!”
The campus, students, and woman all vanished without a trace, and a huge inverted pyramid appeared in the air, topped by a strange creature made of crystal-like material.
“In your language, my race is called ‘Crystal Constellation,’ and we are the observers of this dimension.”
Looking at the creature floating in the air, Todd finally remembered where he had seen this shape before. It was the arrow-shaped pattern with a triangle at the bottom that had appeared repeatedly in the stone tablets of Northern Island mythology.
Upon hearing the other person's words, Todd involuntarily asked, "Dimensional space? Overseer? I don't understand what you mean?"
The Crystal Nest emitted a low buzzing sound, and clear words appeared directly in Todd's mind: "Your past life and present life are two of the countless dimensional spaces we have created."
