Chapter 230 Internal Strife

First Mate Gold Tooth, with his dozen or so men, stood beneath the mast, carrying two heavy money bags. Opposite them, on the high helm, stood Aisha, dressed only in a corset and leather trousers, holding a short sword in one hand and a dagger in the other, her heterochromatic eyes gleaming with fury in the darkness.

"First Mate, your actions have exceeded my limits of patience!" Aisha raised her sword, her piercing roar cutting through the night sky above the sea.

Gold Tooth patted the money pouch in his hand and said with a forced smile, "Captain, we brothers risked our blood and lives to work for you. In the end, after you've eaten all the meat, you won't even give us a single bone!"

Filled with rage, Aisha's expression turned ferocious: "I swear to God! I will put a fishhook on the cat's tail whip and tear your flesh to shreds!!"

Ignoring the captain's threats, Gold Tooth opened a money bag in front of everyone, revealing it to be full of silver coins, causing everyone around to hold their breath.

"Captain, why have you never mentioned to us that the Kingdom of Muxi gave you a generous reward?!" Gold Tooth tightened his purse again, his voice brimming with confidence. "And you've never told us where this voyage is headed. In your eyes, we're nothing more than a bunch of slaves making money for you!"

Watching the pirates who had initially stood beside Aisha, their faces filled with distrust and hesitation, slowly drift further and further away from her, Todd watched as only two or three pirates remained. Then, Todd whispered to Rachel, "Be ready to act at any moment. Remember, try not to let anyone realize we're mutants!"

Rachel nodded calmly.

At this critical moment, Aisha, who was in grave danger, shifted her gaze, her expression surprisingly calm. She looked at the first mate and his men, and suddenly asked a strange question: "You have two money bags, why did you only open one? And not the other?"

Gold Tooth was stunned.

The first money bag contained Silver Moon, while the second contained Golden Dawn!

His original plan was to gain the trust of most of the crew, kill Captain Aisha, and then pretend that both money bags contained Silver Moons. He would then distribute these Silver Moons to the crew to win their loyalty, and finally keep all the Gold Moons for himself.

Unexpectedly, Aisha saw through his plan in a short time and turned the tables on him.

Seeing the other pirates' puzzled looks, the greedy Gold Tooth knew he couldn't delay any longer. He shouted to his trusted men, "Whoever can take the captain's head can take 10 Silver Moons from here!"

While the other pirates were still hesitating, the first mate's men launched the first attack on Aisha.

These people, who were well-prepared, wore leather armor and carried weapons, and rushed towards the high platform of the helm.

Aisha bit the dagger in her mouth, untied the rope from the wooden railing with one hand, then grabbed the rope and pushed off from the platform, soaring into the air and plunging into the enemy ranks. Using the momentum from the rope, her short sword flashed coldly, accurately slicing across a pirate's neck. Blood spurted from the wound in the enemy's throat, splattering onto the deck.

Swinging to the front of the ship, Aisha kicked off the mast railing and then swooped into the enemy ranks, stabbing another pirate in the shoulder with her sword.

At that moment, one of the first mate's men ran to the rope coil on the mast and cut the cable with a single stroke.

Having lost the rope's support, Aisha, with nothing to hold onto in mid-air, crashed heavily to the ground.

Seeing this, Todd quickly drew his longsword from his waist and shouted, "Attack!"

Despite being the King of Muxi, he was unfamiliar with close combat skills. Although he managed to slash his longsword into the shoulder blade of an enemy using his supernatural abilities of "metal skin," "regeneration," and "weakness," the sword was stuck in the bone and he couldn't pull it out for a while.

Instead, the wounded pirate became enraged and swung his scimitar at the top of his head.

Rachel lunged forward, kicking the injured pirate in the knee, then with a flick of her wrist, a dagger plunged precisely into the man's heart, freeing Todd from his predicament.

On the other side of the battlefield, Aisha got up and used the obstacles on the deck to engage in hit-and-run tactics with the enemy.

"Damn it!" Seeing that he couldn't break through after a long siege, Gold Tooth, in a fit of rage, pulled out a pocket crossbow from his pocket and slowly aimed it at Aisha not far away.

The crossbow tether snapped, and a 10-centimeter-long crossbow bolt pierced Aisha's thigh.

Overwhelmed by the pain, the pirate captain could no longer stand and collapsed onto the deck.

Seeing this, Gold Tooth was overjoyed. He raised his weapon and charged towards Aisha, about to cut off her head.

boom!

A loud bang startled everyone on the deck.

Todd stood facing Aisha, staring incredulously at the still-smoking musket in her hand, and said, "How is this possible?" Please remember the book's original domain name: . Mobile version reading website:
