Although it was the height of summer, the nights in the North were still bitterly cold.
Using his supernatural abilities of 'clairvoyance' and 'earth manipulation', Todd managed to catch a rabbit after some effort. When he returned to the campfire, Aisha had already woken up. She no longer showed the fear and excitement she had before; she was just staring blankly at the sky.
Todd picked up the rabbit and said to her with a smile, "I brought dinner."
Aisha didn't respond at all, only repeating one sentence over and over: "My black pearl, all my possessions..."
"Thank your God, at least you are still alive..."
Todd was overjoyed to suddenly hear Rachel's voice.
Todd knelt down beside the woman who had just woken up and asked, "How are you feeling? Is anything bothering you?"
Rachel shook her head, looked at the starry sky, struggled to stand up, but finally gave up the attempt after Todd persuaded her to stop.
“Cavaon’s guiding star is in the direction of the end of the sea, and the place where we encountered the storm should be just after leaving the northern island chain.” Rachel supported herself with one hand and used the other hand to draw a simple map on the ground with a twig.
She first drew a triangle: "This is Muxi City."
Then a horizontal line was drawn on the north side of the circle: "This is the Falling Star Mountain Range."
Then draw a vast landmass north of the horizontal line: "This land is the territory of many barbarian kingdoms."
Finally, dozens of small circles were drawn in the northwest direction of the land: "And the northern island chain, like a string of scattered pearls, is distributed in the sea area in the northwest of the barbarian continent."
Looking at the simple 'map' in front of him, Todd compared it with the world map from his previous life and discovered something quite interesting—the geographical distribution of the other world was somewhat similar to the continent of Pangaea before the Earth's continental plates split into seven continents.
From this perspective, the map of Europe in the other world looks more like a complete connection between the British Isles, the four Nordic countries, and the main European continent, forming a single, unified supercontinent called Pangaea.
Is it a coincidence?
Todd touched the bridge of his nose, pondering for a long time without finding a result.
Rachel used a twig to poke a small hole in the northwest corner of the Barbarian Continent, near the sea: "This should be where we are now, still a long way from our destination—the Land of Shadows."
