An associate professor in life engineering travels to a medieval European fantasy world. Using modern biochemistry, he discovers that viruses, bacteria, and parasites extinct in human history are a...
Ackerman, Kasper, and the two barbarian sisters became famous.
In the streets, yesterday's battle was widely talked about. The clash between shield and bow versus dual swords, the well-planned tactics, the spectacular fighting, and of course, the indomitable will—all these elements combined completely ignited the Ulster people's passion for gladiatorial combat.
Within the "Red Circle," the fighting style of these four opened a new door for other gladiators.
As for the four parties involved, they sat in the storeroom behind the arena, listening to Todd analyze the details of the battle.
Looking at the four people in front of him, Todd asked, "Who came up with that opening crash?"
Ackerman raised his hand hesitantly, seemingly worried that his idea wouldn't be approved. But Todd's next words quickly dispelled his doubts.
"That's a good idea. It's good to grab the audience's attention with sound and momentum right from the start of the fight."
Todd's praise immediately made Ackerman puff out his chest, his face full of pride and joy.
"The pacing was also well controlled, and the changes in the advantage and disadvantage in the early, mid and late stages, as well as the shifts in offensive and defensive postures, were all handled very well."
After acknowledging the merits of the game, Todd began to analyze its shortcomings.
“There are serious problems with your positioning. Parly and Parney, you two need to coordinate with Casper’s shield stance when changing positions. And Ackerman, don’t laugh! Do you have to crouch down when you shoot arrows? Can’t you move and shoot? This fixed posture only hinders the movement of others.”
Ackerman lowered his head and muttered a defense: "My archery skills are simply not good enough for shooting while moving..."
"Then hone your skills! There are also issues with your teamwork. During combat demonstrations, as one side in a fight, you not only need to consider your teammates but also find ways to coordinate with the enemy. Parly, come out here for a moment!"
Seeing the barbarian woman standing before him, Todd grabbed a shield, held it to his chest, and shouted at her, "Slash at this shield!"
Parly hesitated for a moment before raising her scimitar, but finally made up her mind and slashed hard at the shield.
Before anyone else could react, a gust of wind swept through the storage room from where the swords and shields clashed, scattering everything in its path. Todd grunted, flying through the air with his shattered shield in his arms, crashing into a large wooden rack storing goods. Still reeling from the impact, he rolled on the ground.
Parly stood frozen in place, staring in disbelief at the scimitar in her hand.
"My God! When did you acquire such power?" Ackerman stood up, staring blankly at the familiar yet unfamiliar woman before him.
"I didn't do it..."
Parly shook her head stiffly.
Standing up from the chaotic pile of debris, Todd tossed aside his shattered shield, dusted himself off, and addressed the four men, who were completely stunned, "Performance! Remember! This is performance! While you're performing your own actions, you also need to find ways to coordinate with the enemy's actions!"
Ackerman said in a trembling voice, "You mean... that scene just now was acted out by you?!"
Todd shrugged nonchalantly: "Use the hand hidden behind the shield to shatter it, then use the momentum to fall backward. It's a very simple move, you can do it too!"
Ackerman shook his head frantically: "No, no, no! You think too highly of us. Even if you gave me ten years, I still couldn't learn this move."
Todd looked at his hands with some suspicion, thinking to himself, "Is it really that difficult? This kind of 'fake fall' is commonplace in martial arts action movies."
Kasper stood up at this moment and said in a low voice, "We can't handle that wind pressure and the power to shatter the shield."
Todd then realized that none of the four people in front of him possessed any superpowers, nor had they undergone the Tyrant's modifications, so they naturally couldn't perform such an action.
But there's always a workaround.
He roared at the four men, "Are you all stupid?! Smash the shields first, then glue them back together. When you need them, just smash them open! As for the wind pressure, you can hide a small cloth bag behind the shields, fill it with lime and air, and just smash it when you need it!"
Seeing the four of them suddenly realize something, Todd, with a look of disappointment, strode towards the door. Ackerman's weak questioning voice behind him made him stop.
"Lord Boyle, there's a question I've never understood. You don't get any benefit from us, so why do you help us so much?"
Because we met once before...
Of course, Todd couldn't bring himself to say such a thing.
After some thought, Todd gave this answer: "Changing this dark and ignorant world has always been my dream, and you may be a force for me to drive change."

Upon entering his residence, Todd immediately spotted the mysterious woman in black.
Beneath the lifted hood, her features were exquisite, and her face radiant with youthful beauty.
The woman sat calmly on the wooden bed. When she saw Todd appear, she stood up quietly, lowered her head, and remained silent.
He tried his best to keep a straight face and maintain a cool demeanor, but Todd was inwardly flustered and didn't know what to say.
Who is the other party?
Does she know Boyle?
What is their relationship?
What should you do if this woman suddenly asks for a code or inquires about the past?
