Chapter 33 Sending Money

Upon arriving at the village, Todd spotted Huggins in the distance, crookedly hiding behind a tree and peeking at a wooden house ahead.

Todd turned around, ignoring the girl's reluctant expression, and ordered Karin to stay where she was and not to come any closer. He, however, filled with curiosity, climbed up to a large rock behind Huggins and secretly watched the man's actions.

Hiding behind a tree, Huggins looked at the small house in front of him and muttered to himself, "Why isn't it coming out yet?"

Todd hid behind a rock, peeking at Huggins ahead, full of questions: "What on earth is he doing?"

Karin hid in the back, watching Todd not far away, and growled angrily, "You never want to play with me!"

Edgar stood not far behind Karin, looking at the black sheep, when he suddenly remembered something: "I should have asked for an autograph earlier!"

Little Jerry, sitting at the very back, glanced at everyone in front of him, hugged his knees, and said, "I'm hungry..."

Finally, the door to the cabin opened.

A pretty woman carrying a basket walked out of the house, followed by a cute girl of about ten years old. The two chatted and laughed as they walked into the distance.

Huggins made a move.

The man watched the two men walk away, then untied a heavy cloth bag from his waist. He tiptoed to the window, deftly used a thin hook to open the locked window, and tossed the bag inside. A heavy clatter of coins echoed from within. Huggins nodded with satisfaction, then crouched and ran back inside.

Todd was speechless.

What kind of crazy stunt is this?
