Chapter 343 War Resumes

Todd sighed, "Evie, you really didn't need to do that..."

“I cannot deceive my companions with a mission that doesn’t even exist.” Ivy raised her head and straightened her chest. “If I had to choose, I would rather live in real hell than be hypnotized by falsehood.”

"I have only one mission right now, and that is to end the war on the North Isles. Whether it is to rebuild Asgard or to use war to expand the living space of the North Isles, as long as it can stop them from killing each other, I am willing to try with my life."

Todd sighed softly and nodded.

After a pause, Ivy continued, "But there's something you need to know. Since I'm no longer the leader, most of the Valkyries have been recalled to the village. Only seven sisters are left who are willing to exile themselves and stay by my side."

The original Valkyrie squad of over thirty women has now dwindled to just eight.

Upon hearing this news, Todd frowned: "The Griffin Airborne Team has a total of ten positions. Counting you and me, and the other seven Valkyries, there is still one vacancy."

After a moment's thought, Evie said to Todd, "If you value strength, there is someone who might be able to fill this position."

After saying this, Ivy pointed to the tall man on the deck who was helping his men raise the sails—Jerry, the vice-commander of the North Island Knights.

This burly man, nearly two meters tall and with well-developed muscles, always had a憨憨 (simple and honest) smile on his face. He could easily pull a cable that required six people to pull together, all by himself.

Seeing that Todd still had some concerns, Evie added, "Not counting the Valkyrie, no one in the entire North Island Knights can defeat him."

The large ship beneath our feet began to move slowly, its billowing sails propelling the entire vessel out to sea with the help of the wind.

The people on the boat sang songs and waved their hands, bidding a final farewell to those seeing them off on the shore.

On deck, after much deliberation, Todd nodded in agreement with Evie's recommendation and said, "Gather everyone else in the ship's cabins. It's necessary to familiarize you with the paratrooper equipment and the joint training with the Griffins as soon as possible."

"Equipment?" Ivy asked curiously. "Everyone in the North Island Knights already has weapons and armor distributed by Twilight City. Is it really necessary to change their equipment?"

Todd said, “My equipment isn’t a longsword and armor, but something special, something that can help you survive on the battlefield.”

Soon, all the people Todd was looking for gathered in the cabin.

When the first person opened the huge wooden barrel and revealed its contents to everyone, even the bravest person gasped in fear.

A gigantic, terrifying dragon bone parasite wriggled in the barrel, its sharp spinal hooks reflecting a faint light.

Todd looked at the terrified Valkyrie and Jerry, and asked with a smile, "Who wants to try first?"

The massive fleet sailed on the sea for three nights, during which Todd repeatedly instilled the belief in rebuilding Asgard in the leaders of each unit and made tactical arrangements for the landing operation.

As for the Griffin Airborne Team, even though each member was issued a dragon bone, it still took some effort to become proficient in using it.

In particular, the various keel shapes brought about by enhanced regeneration require extensive practice and training to be fully and freely applied.

And so, after a final, busy period of preparation, as the fleet sailed into the fourth morning, the ancient port of Gugu in the Kingdom of Ulster gradually came into view.

Everyone picked up their weapons, donned their armor, and took their positions; an epic landing battle was about to begin.
