An associate professor in life engineering travels to a medieval European fantasy world. Using modern biochemistry, he discovers that viruses, bacteria, and parasites extinct in human history are a...
"It's a spherical parasite filled with nitroglycerin, the kind of substance you mentioned that can be used as explosives."
After Wayne's reminder, Todd finally remembered what "spores" were.
During the defense of Froststone Camp, several of the mother wolves that self-destructed had this parasite hidden inside their bodies.
Seeing everyone's confusion, Wayne sent the 'spore' to the 3D model platform: "This strange parasite is in a stable state under normal circumstances. Once it is subjected to external pressure, its body will turn red and then explode violently."
Terence asked, "How powerful was the explosion?"
Wayne's words sent a chill down everyone's spine: "A single adult spore can destroy a sturdy bunker."
Elijah nodded and said, "If it has such power, then it's more than enough to fight against Imperial warships."
Aisha didn't miss any opportunity to pour cold water on the idea: "Even if this parasite is incredibly powerful, what about the weapon's propulsion? You're not planning to use a catapult to throw this thing at the enemy, are you?"
Wayne's face darkened: "Indeed, figuring out how to get the spores to collide with the enemy's warship is a big problem."
Elijah then said, “Your Majesty, I have designed a black powder propellant.”
Todd asked curiously, "Black powder propulsion?"
Elijah posted a tubular model resembling a barracuda: "I originally intended to use this invention in water surveying, but now I think it's perfect for this purpose."
"Look, this is the gunpowder magazine, this is the stabilizing fins, and this is the thruster. When in use, simply ignite the fuse at the tail, and the jet of burning gunpowder will propel the entire object forward rapidly across the water. And all we have to do is..."
“…Tie spore parasites to the head.” Todd finished Elijah’s sentence while looking at the thrusters on the screen. Suddenly, he was shocked. Wasn’t that a torpedo?
The design work for the heterogeneous experimental ship is now largely complete; the next step is to assign tasks.
"Wayne, you are more familiar with biology, so you will be in charge of the construction of the alien warships."
Todd's words made Wayne Dunlop overjoyed, but made Terrence frown.
“Your Majesty, Wayne is skilled in biology, but he doesn’t know much about physics and ship hull structure. I recommend my disciple Elijah as his second-in-command to assist him in completing the construction of the warship.”
Todd nodded in agreement to Terrence's request.
"Me too!" Aisha exclaimed excitedly as she looked at the ship model.
Todd looked at her: "What are you meddling in?"
“I know roughly all the combat data of the Imperial warships. Don’t we need this information when testing a new ship?” Aisha argued confidently. “Besides, I am an experienced captain. Doesn’t this ship need someone to navigate it during its sea trials?”
Todd thought for a moment, then nodded helplessly.
