Chapter 380 The Beginning of the Conquest

It was half a month later when Todd finished dealing with the complex affairs of Twilight City and appeared at Froststone Camp.

When the tyrant's massive body appeared on the ground, its terrifying size and overwhelming power immediately caused everyone in the camp to kneel down and press their foreheads to the ground.

Todd returned to the North in his Tyrant form because he intended to gradually diminish the influence of Boyle's image within the camp. After all, constantly switching between several different appearances every day was no easy task for him.

But doing so also has its problems.

The most immediate problem is finding a place to live.

Todd's Tyrant form has now grown to ten meters tall, and no building in the camp can accommodate his body. Fortunately, the believers have built a temple, which he can barely squeeze into if he crouches down.

Therefore, many meetings of the Froststone Camp were also held in the temple.

"Supreme Son of the Gods! The warriors are ready and waiting. At your command, our axes and the blood of our enemies will sweep across the entire continent!"

Todd looked at the group of fanatical and warlike leaders in front of him and asked Alfonso to his right, "How's the recruit training going?"

The latter nodded: "They have only just mastered the basic combat skills and can distinguish between the signals for attack and retreat. However, it is undeniable that these people are a group of fanatical and loyal believers, and their faith can make up for the lack of training."

Standing to Todd's left, Valkyrie Evie wiped her sword and said with a sneer, "To put it simply, they're a bunch of reckless lunatics."

Upon hearing this, Todd already had a general idea in mind. He extended his iron claws and addressed the group of leaders: "Go and have the warriors sharpen their axes and tighten their armor. In the name of the gods, I hereby declare that in the days to come, you will gain wealth and respect through courage and loyalty, and most importantly, you will gain the right to enter the Sanctuary!"

Seeing the leaders cheering like a bunch of rabid apes, Todd waved his hand, signaling them to step back.

After the group left the temple, thanking them profusely, Todd finally breathed a sigh of relief and tried to stand up from the stone slab, forgetting his enormous tyrannical body.

Without warning, Todd's head slammed hard against the temple roof, sending a shower of rubble crashing down.

Alfonso stood motionless, letting the pebbles fall on his armor as if they were nothing but dust; Evie, on the other hand, dodged every single pebble with swift movements and agile gestures.

"I've had enough!" Todd said angrily, looking at the hole he had punched in the temple roof. "Here, I have to bend over, tuck my claws in, and even my tail has to be tucked under my body!"

Looking at Todd's tall figure, Evie frowned and asked, "Is it just my imagination, or is it really true? It seems like your body gets bigger every time you enter this form."

Todd sighed, guessing that the Tyrant Virus was probably using alien bacteria to modify his genes. Each transformation pushed his body's structure in the opposite direction of humanity; at this rate, it wouldn't be long before he was no longer human. What would he become? Perhaps even God couldn't know.

The only thing that gave Todd some peace of mind was that, at least during the genetic mutation process, he retained his consciousness and emotions, and he didn't have to worry about turning into a real monster.

Todd leaned over and lay down on the ground, asking the two people beside him, "How are the refugees sent from Saint Guard City integrating?"

Ivy shook her head: "It's not too good. These people of Holy Guard City, whether men or women, are brave and good at fighting, which is their strength, but their lack of loyalty to the Father is their weakness. The shamans of the gods have tried to enter their settlements to preach several times, but each time it ended badly."

Todd waved his hand dismissively: "Select some people from that group of Holy Guardians to participate in the next battle."

Ivy's eyes lit up: "A battle? You're willing to start a battle? I thought that if you were here, you would continue the dull and boring diplomatic tricks of Muxi City."

Hearing the Valkyrie's pointed and sarcastic tone, Todd spoke in a deep voice: "The situation in Twilight City is different from here. There, it is a parish with close ties, and a change in one part affects the whole. If a war is launched without careful consideration, it will put us at a disadvantage. But the North is already a land of war, with serious racial and religious conflicts. War is the best way to resolve the predicament."

Evie shrugged: "Say whatever you want, as long as you allow me to go to the battlefield."

Todd gazed at his own statue in the center of the temple and slowly said, "This war will be unlike any of the previous ones. In the past, wars were fought to expand our forces and repel the enemy, but this time, it is purely for conquest..."

A month and a half later, in the Kingdom of Ulster, at the Junka Fortress.

"Where on earth did all these barbarians come from?!" The fortress commander, his face flushed, grabbed the dying scout captain and shouted, "Anzochi! Quarmila! Tissan! The kingdom's three cities were razed to the ground almost overnight!!"

Blood slowly seeped from the corner of the scout captain's mouth, and he managed to utter only two words at the end.

"monster".

"Sir, enemy tracks have been spotted five kilometers south of the city!"

Upon hearing the report from the watchtower, the fortress commander glanced at the corpse on the ground and snorted coldly.
