An associate professor in life engineering travels to a medieval European fantasy world. Using modern biochemistry, he discovers that viruses, bacteria, and parasites extinct in human history are a...
Hearing Scáthach's words, Todd's expression was full of confusion: "Using the power of the soul link to train soul power? Is there any way to do that? I thought everything created by the soul link was just some fictional images in the brain."
Scáthach shaped the blue dark matter particles in the air into different forms and said to Todd with a smile, "Mortals often say that what is imagined means it doesn't exist, but is that really true?"
Todd frowned. "What do you mean?"
"If I told you that, according to the laws of the universe, the world imagined by individuals with souls is not entirely fictional, but rather a reality existing in another form, would you be able to understand?"
Todd pondered the words carefully, but in the end, he shook his head.
“Dark matter, which makes up the soul, has the essence of penetrating space and time and constructing matter. When used reasonably and effectively, it can construct a new dimension.” Scáthach kneaded the dark matter particles in her hand into the shape of an apple. When she released her fingers, the pale blue light gradually disappeared, and a real bright red apple was born in her hand.
Seeing Todd's surprised expression, Scáthach continued to explain, "If this power seems hard to understand, think of it this way: Dark matter is like basic lines and shapes that can be used to draw a complex blueprint. Guided by dark energy, the molecules and atoms in the material world that are in a free state will automatically combine according to the framework of the blueprint and produce the intended things."
Holding up the fruit in her hand, Scáthach said to Todd, "Take this apple for example. A few minutes ago, it was just a lump of dark matter in my palm. Under the control of my soul power, 170 milligrams of potassium, 10 milligrams of calcium, 22 grams of carbohydrates, 10 milligrams of phosphorus, and 30 milligrams of flavonoids—a series of particles of matter—combined and constructed themselves according to the blueprint of dark matter, and finally became an apple."
Scáthach tossed the apple to Todd and said, "Try it."
Stunned, Todd mechanically caught the apple, took a bite instinctively, and whispered, "So sweet..."
Scáthach smiled and said, "I like the taste of sweetness, so I increased the molecular weight of the sucrose."
While munching on an apple, Todd proposed his hypothesis: "If the basic building block of the soul is dark matter, and dark matter is the blueprint for constructing the material world, then does it mean that the world I imagined in my soul link ability actually exists, only in another dimension?"
“The fact that you can think of this shows that you should be beginning to understand the nature of the soul.” Scáthach pondered for a moment, then continued, “In fact, it’s not just the soul link ability; every being with a soul, when they imagine or dream, uses the dark matter within their body to open up their own miniature dimension. Simply put, when humans dream at night, they are actually entering their own private dimension.”
"However, because the dark matter in ordinary organisms has low density and low energy, the soul's ability to control dark energy is very poor. This makes such a tiny plane extremely unstable. Once awakened, this minuscule plane will collapse and disappear."
Todd swallowed the apple, shook his enormous lizard head, and suddenly remembered something: "If we follow this line of reasoning, is it possible that the world we live in is also a plane constructed by some kind of life form using the dark energy of dark matter?"
For the first time, a look of confusion appeared on Scáthach's face.
"Is the world we live in constructed by a giant life form using the energy of dark matter within it? To be honest, I don't know the answer to that question."
Todd pondered for a moment, then muttered to himself, "So, Earth might also be..."
Scáthach clapped her hands, drawing Todd's attention back: "Alright, let's put the discussion about universal truths aside for now. The most important thing now is to teach you how to use the power of the soul."
With her hands raised, Scáthach said to Todd, "First, keep your body in Tyrant form and focus your attention on the floating dark matter in space."
Todd did as he was told.
"The next process is somewhat similar to a change in pressure. Control the power within your body, compress the dark matter within your body, and attract free-floating objects in space to your side."
Todd tried several times, his whole body trembling and his teeth clenched, but he found it was no use at all.
"I'm not telling you to use your muscles! Use your soul! Focus your soul, imagine that's the pressure difference of dark matter!"
Todd shrugged and gave Scáthach an awkward look.
The latter let out a slight sigh of relief and changed his approach: "Do you remember how you activated the soul space?"
Todd nodded and tried to send a command to open the soul space within his body. To his surprise, a large amount of free dark matter surged into his surroundings and entered his body in an instant.
Scáthach shouted, "Very good, remember this feeling! Now, try to gather dark matter in your hands!"
Relying on the feeling from the soul link, Todd slowly condensed dark matter in his palm, and a huge pale blue 'flame body' pulsed around the Tyrant.
"Now, all you have to do is try to recall an object from the soul space and use the energy of dark matter to recreate it in this world!"
Todd closed his eyes, trying hard to recall everything in the soul space, and finally selected something and gathered the dark matter in his hand together.
