An associate professor in life engineering travels to a medieval European fantasy world. Using modern biochemistry, he discovers that viruses, bacteria, and parasites extinct in human history are a...
Aldenan listened intently and then asked, "The four branch cities are so far apart. What if the enemy bypasses the most heavily defended branch city and attacks the weakest point first?"
Upon hearing this, Alfonso, riding on his warhorse, glanced back at the werewolf before turning his head back.
Just as Randall was about to speak, a loud cry suddenly came from the sky.
His eyes lit up, and he raised his hand, pointing to the sky: "Look! As long as they're here, no enemy can hide their tracks!"
Aldenan, Carroll, and Barbara looked in the direction Randall was pointing. In the blinding sunlight, a griffin radiating golden light carried a woman carrying a long spear, a bow and arrows on her back, and wearing a feathered crown, soaring through the air and looking down at the earth.
As the valiant Valkyrie sped through the air, Barbara's eyes sparkled as if stars were twinkling within them: "So beautiful! If I had a pen and paper, I swear I could write the finest hymn of praise!"
Aldenan sighed softly: "I never imagined that I would see the legendary Valkyrie in my lifetime."
The taciturn Carol, upon hearing Aldenan's exclamation, widened her eyes, clenched her fists involuntarily, and nodded emphatically.
Watching the Valkyrie fly further and further away until she disappeared into the horizon, Randall waved his hand and said to the person beside him, "Once we cross that hill, we'll see Froststone City."
Reminded by Randall, the group quickened their pace, laboriously climbing the uphill stone steps to the hillside in front of them.
A gentle breeze swept across the hillside, blowing away the tall grass stalks that were more than a person's height, and also clearing away the heavy obstructions in front of everyone's eyes.
As the sun sets, a vast city lies quietly on the earth, with densely packed buildings and streets arranged in a compact manner, stretching out in all directions from the foot of the mountain, seemingly without end.
Even from several kilometers away, you can see colorful lights forming countless long dragons, illuminating the entire city; wisps of smoke rise from the chimneys of thousands of households, making the whole land look like a dream.
The setting sun cast its last rays upon the towering temple in the city center, its eight massive stone pillars, carved with black dragons, gleaming brilliantly in the sunlight, a truly magnificent sight. From afar, it seemed as if the entire city was built on clouds, with the heavens and earth merely its backdrop.
Randall stood on the hillside and let out a joyful shout towards the distant city. Then he turned to the three people beside him who were already captivated by the beautiful scenery and said, "Welcome to Froststone City, everyone!"
