Chapter 517 The Rise of the Divine Kingdom (Part Two)

"A signal has been received from the port!"

On the watchtower of a four-masted Metach, a pirate shouted loudly toward the deck.

In the darkness, a figure as large as a small mountain slowly stood up, walked to the bridge, and took out binoculars to look at the distant sea.

The flickering light silenced the figure for a moment, then he raised his right hand and swung it forward forcefully.

The first mate, standing to the side, shouted to the pirates, "Lord Barbarossa has given the order! Fleet target—Muxi Port, charge!"

The excited pirates raised their folded sails, tore off the camouflage cloth, and thrust out their dark cannons.

One oil lamp after another was lit on the ship, instantly illuminating the entire sea surface.

Looking down from the sky, nearly a hundred ships of various sizes were filled with busy pirates, shouting battle cries and gazing greedily at the brightly lit and dazzling harbor on the distant land.

Taking advantage of the wind and breaking through the waves, the pirates' vanguard fleet broke the barricades at the entrance to Muxi Harbor, overturned various ships moored at the berths, and rushed directly onto the shallow waters of the harbor.

With gangplanks and ropes lowered from the deck, nearly a thousand pirates from different factions, speaking various languages, rushed onto the harbor's pier and set foot on this sacred land.

Looking at the huge machines, rows of houses, and goods piled up like mountains in the harbor, every pirate's face showed a mixture of shock and excitement.

"I've heard people talk about the prosperity and wealth of Muxi City. Some even call it 'God's blessed land,'" a pirate captain with gold teeth and an eyepatch said, dumbfounded. "I thought he was just bragging, but now I understand, he was telling the truth..."

"Lord Barbarossa has arrived!"

Hearing the shouts behind him, the pirate leader shuddered and quickly stepped aside, keeping his head down and hiding to the side.

With his imposing figure, bulging muscles, and fierce eyes, the man known as Barbarossa immediately silenced all the pirates as soon as he entered the port, and the previously noisy chatter instantly subsided.

Barbarossa looked up at everything in the harbor, like a seasoned connoisseur admiring a perfect work of art, smiling and nodding gently.

The first mate followed from behind, walked up to Barbarossa, and whispered, "Those nobles have sent envoys."

Barbarossa's smile faded, his brow furrowed, and he said in a deep voice, "Let them come over."

Two well-dressed, anxious-looking messengers approached Barbarossa with disdain for the uncouth pirates and proclaimed, "We have come on behalf of my master to welcome the great Pirate King!"

Barbarossa waved his hand casually.

One of the two messengers, a middle-aged man, said, "A fierce battle is taking place at the naval camp in the northern part of the port area. The stubborn royal navy is trying to get two warships out of the port!"

Seeing Barbarossa's expressionless face and inaction, another young envoy couldn't contain himself and blurted out, "At the naval camp, we're severely undermanned, and the battle has been going badly for us. We have no way to capture the remaining ships. Lord Barbarossa, you and your men should get there as soon as possible to help us take over the naval camp..."

Hearing the two messengers urging him, Barbarossa smiled, but still made no move.

The middle-aged man said sternly, "Lord Barbarossa, you haven't forgotten, have you? You and we made a sacred pact! We provided gold in exchange for the support of your army!"

Barbarossa looked at the middle-aged messenger who had spoken to him, then glanced at the young messenger behind him, and slowly said, "Go back and tell your master that I don't want the gold he originally promised."

Upon hearing this, everyone was nearly speechless with shock.

The pirates cried out in unison, but surprisingly, no one dared to question Barbarossa's decision.

The middle-aged man slowly recovered from his shock. He stared into Barbarossa's eyes and said in a puzzled tone, "Great Pirate King, I don't understand what you mean by that?"

Barbarossa stroked his chin with one large hand and pointed to the port behind him with the other, laughing loudly, "I want this port."

The middle-aged man's eyes widened in surprise: "What did you say?!"

"Are you deaf?" Barbarossa roared. "I want control of the port of Twilight City!"

The middle-aged nobleman laughed angrily: "My lord, this is completely different from our prior agreement!"

Barbarossa said nonchalantly, "Go back and ask your master. If he disagrees, I don't mind taking matters into my own hands. Perhaps... I can also go and see the King of Twilight City. He might be more interested in my proposal."

The middle-aged envoy, his face flushed, jumped up and down, shouting, "This is a threat! This is a despicable deception! We absolutely cannot agree to this demand!"

"Listen up! You brainless idiot! I'm not asking anyone's opinion, I'm just looking for someone to relay my message!"

As Barbarossa spoke, he reached out to his first mate, who handed him the musket from his waist without hesitation.

boom!

After a loud bang, the middle-aged man's head, like a watermelon smashed by a sledgehammer, was covered in red and white matter, and his body fell straight to the ground.

The young envoy, witnessing all of this, turned pale with fright, stumbled and fell to the ground, screaming like a woman.
