Barbara shook her head and said, "I sat with him."
Upon hearing this, an even louder cheer erupted from the crowd.
"Is that man insane?!"
"Does he want to become the next Beatrix?"
"Brother! Well done! I support you!"
The noise from the first floor of the restaurant attracted the attention of the second floor.
A tauren shaman, accompanied by a tauren warrior, came down the stairs.
Upon seeing Randall and Barbara standing together, the minotaur warrior's eyes widened, and he shouted, "What's going on here?"
Randall pulled Barbara behind him and said with a smile, "Brother, calm down."
The minotaur glared with his crimson eyes: "Brother?! You arrogant human! Who do you think you're talking to?!"
The tauren shaman grabbed the warrior beside him and slowly said, pointing to Randall's chest, "He is indeed a member of the Crusader."
Everyone looked closely and saw that Randall was wearing a round black dragon badge on his chest.
“He is the only human in the Crusader…” the minotaur shaman said with a smile, “Our gods personally accepted him.”
The minotaur warrior stood there, stunned, for a long while before finally saying, "But why? Why would the supreme dragon god accept a human?"
The shaman turned and walked upstairs, leaving behind a soft remark: "And who can fathom the will of the gods?"
As the minotaur returned to the second floor, the entire restaurant fell silent.
Randall smiled wryly and asked Barbara, "Do you still want to stay for dinner?"
The latter, noticing the strange looks coming from those around him, growled irritably, "Forget it! Let's go back!"
Aurora, who witnessed the entire incident, asked Todd while eating cake with a fork, "Father, what are they doing? Why can't everyone sit down and eat together?"
Todd pulled Aurora's hat brim down a little, obscuring her dragon horns: "Because everyone carries fear in their heart, fear of a future they don't understand, fear of their lingering past..."
Aurora said with a pained expression, "Father, I don't understand."
“You’re too young to understand these things.” Todd patted Aurora on the head. “After you finish eating, we’ll go look at other places.”
Aurora nodded happily, refocusing her attention on the food in front of her.
As the sun slowly set, the father and daughter, who had spent the day sightseeing in the city, rode in a carriage back to the palace.
Aurora, holding a large pile of snacks and toys in her arms, had a face full of happiness and joy.
Todd looked at Aurora and asked, "Are you happy?"
"Yes! I'm happy!"
Todd stared at the dragon horns on Aurora's head and suddenly asked, "Tell Daddy, do you ever feel uncomfortable or sick?"
Feeling unwell? Sick?
A hint of worry appeared in Todd's expression: "So, you've discovered something wrong with your body?"
Aurora touched her nose with her little hand and nodded vigorously: "I can become like Daddy!"
"Take my look?" Todd looked at Aurora holding her breath and a bad feeling immediately arose in his heart: "You wouldn't happen to be...?"
Suddenly, Aurora's body began to grow rapidly, and crimson scales began to grow on her body. A pair of huge dragon wings spread out from her back, directly breaking through the roof of the carriage.
Watching the five-meter-long red dragon leap out of the shattered carriage and clumsily flap its wings in mid-air, Todd covered his forehead with his hand and sighed heavily.
