What are these people doing there?
Aldenan, with a blade of grass dangling from his mouth, glanced at the respectfully bowing humans on the road and said, "These people are all going to do business with the sea refugees."
Brother Joe was curious: "Doing business with refugees?"
Aldenan: "Don't think that those refugees are all poor bastards. On their wrists and necks, they have a lot of trinkets, such as coral, pearls and gems. Those things are worthless in the sea, but they are great treasures on land."
Carol explained, “Besides the treasures of the sea, the marine races can also dive into the deep sea to collect some extremely rare minerals and plants; in addition, they have special methods to cultivate some delicious but rare fish, shellfish, shrimp and crabs.”
Huggins nodded and said, "It sounds like these sea refugees are doing quite well in the kingdom."
Aldenan curled his lip: "Not only good, but those mermaid women live a life that can only be described as extremely luxurious, even their bathing utensils..."
“Ahem.” Carol quickly interrupted Aldenan: “But then again, many people in Twilight City have a lot of opinions about these sea refugees, and some might even say they are hostile.”
"Hospitality? What do you mean?"
“There are many reasons, one of which is that these maritime refugees plundered the kingdom’s wealth and lowered the living standards of the kingdom’s citizens.”
Carol paused, then continued, "There are also some who say that these refugees are heretics who worship the ancient sea god and should be expelled from the land of the dragon god."
