Seeing the joy on Todd's face, Sutherland continued, "Don't be too happy yet. In return, I need you to stay here and complete a task I've assigned you."
Todd nodded hastily, but then suddenly realized something and asked, "Stay here? For how long? After I get the antibody, I must return to my kingdom to help my people fight the undead."
Sutherland said softly, "I'm afraid you can't do that. You must stay here until my mission arrives and you can't go anywhere."
Todd's eyes widened as he exclaimed, "This isn't fair! You can't keep me trapped here!"
Sutherland picked up the glass beside him and took a small sip. "In fact, I can."
Todd closed his eyes, trying to force himself out of Sutherland's soul world.
However, he failed.
Then, he landed on all fours and transformed into a giant dragon, breathing a ball of fire at Sutherland.
Like a flame thrown into the ocean, Todd's attack had no effect.
Sutherland: "Todd, stop making pointless attempts. You are no match for me in the research and use of soul powers."
Sutherland reached out and waved to Todd.
The latter seemed to have all its strength suddenly drained away, transforming directly into human form and collapsing to the ground.
Sutherland: "Todd, I will leave you in this world of spirits, where you will be free to act as you please... In addition, I will send the agreed-upon living tissue to Duskwood. If your people possess enough courage, wisdom, and luck, then perhaps they can survive this catastrophe."
Todd struggled to look up at Sutherland: "What do you want me to do? When are you going to let me leave here?!"
Sutherland: "Now is not the time to discuss the details with you. When the time comes, you will naturally understand everything I want. Oh, by the way, you don't need to worry about the passage of time. I have accelerated the flow of time in the soul space. One day here will be equivalent to about a week in the outside world."
"Soon, the final moment will arrive."
