When faced with Ivy's question, Rachel coldly replied, "Our task is to rescue His Majesty. Want to know the Elders' purpose? You've asked the wrong person."
Rachel's answer clearly did not satisfy Ivy, who turned to Aisha and asked, "What crime is it to abduct a princess?"
Aisha looked at Rachel's face and whispered, "Treason."
Ivy stared into Aisha's eyes: "You know what to do."
Aisha sighed helplessly, then put her finger to her lips and whistled.
In an instant, the Crusader crew members, who had previously remained neutral, stood on the Valkyrie's side and surrounded all the alien species.
Aisha said to Rachel, "You'd better tell the truth, or I can't guarantee the safety of your men."
Rachel glanced at the situation on the field and couldn't help but feel a pang of regret.
On the one hand, she never expected that the six Valkyries who had lost their mounts, despite being at a clear disadvantage in numbers, would have the courage to launch a decisive attack and take control of the situation in a very short time.
On the other hand, Rachel, who had escaped the inspection of the royal city's guards, thought that everything had been settled, so she relaxed her vigilance slightly. However, she did not expect that the hot-tempered Ivy had been able to endure until now.
Rachel looked around at everything in the hall, her eyes darting around as she quickly calculated the difference in combat power and anticipated the different consequences.
As if she could read her mind, Ivy lowered her head and whispered in Rachel's ear, "Do you know why I chose to make my move here?"
"This is the only route the Kingdom's fleet can take during patrols. The sun has just set, and our ship is heading in the opposite direction from the patrol team. There is only a half-hour journey between us."
"If anything happens on board, all it takes is a signal firework, and the patrol boat will quickly approach and demand boarding."
"Faced with the Valkyries and the Crusaders, even if you aliens wanted to seize the ship, you would have absolutely no chance of gaining control of it within half an hour."
"Even if we take a step back and assume that the alien species you brought gained the upper hand in the conflict, are you even capable of navigating this ship? The ship's navigation, turning, and firing are all accomplished through the keel nerve link. You and those alien species have never even touched the keel armor."
Rachel was silent for a moment, then suddenly laughed.
Ivy tightened her grip and asked in a deep voice, "What are you laughing at?"
Rachel: "I just remembered something funny."
Evie: "What?"
Rachel: "You saw through everything long ago, so why didn't you choose to make your move at the port of Twilight City instead of waiting for the ship to sail here?"
Ivy frowned and remained silent.
Rachel continued, "Clearly, you've sensed something too. You want the answer from me, but you also realize that the answer might cause a huge problem."
Aisha, who had been listening to the conversation, became increasingly confused: "What do you two know? Stop with the riddles! Can't you just say it directly?!"
Ivy pressed the blade of her sword against Rachel's skin, slowly until she made a small cut: "I'm warning you, don't test my patience! Think about it, we don't need this many guides to get to the Supuha Mountains. Maybe I should just throw all of you into the sea and keep only one or two to lead the way!"
Rachel showed no fear, smiling as she said, "You underestimate the unity and determination of the alien race. The word 'survival of the fittest' does not exist in our dictionary. If you do, you will never find the entrance to the Elders' Council, and you will never be able to rescue Todd!"
Evie's eyes widened, her hand gripping her sword trembled slightly, and her anger made her voice sound chilling: "I should try and see if these aliens are as stubborn as you say!"
Realizing the situation was turning sour, Aisha quickly said, "Both of you calm down! Fighting each other won't solve anything. Right now, there's something more important."
Ivy looked up at Aisha: "Something more important?"
Aisha: "We must send Aurora back to the capital. She's still a child, and it's too dangerous for her to stay here."
Before Evie could answer, Rachel's expression suddenly changed, and she blurted out instinctively, "She can't go back!"
Evie was taken aback and turned her head. Her expression was full of surprise at Rachel's reaction.
Aisha: "Why can't she go back?"
Rachel's face turned ashen, and she remained silent.
Seeing that things had taken a turn for the better, Evie deliberately said to Rachel, "If you don't tell the truth, then Aurora's return to Twilight City will be the final and only outcome. After all, the journey south is too dangerous for her."
Rachel gave Evie a cold look: "Stop putting on airs. I know what you're up to."
Rachel lowered her head and looked ahead.
Among the alien race controlled by the Crusaders and Valkyries, there was a small figure who moved slightly, his eyes looking in the direction of Rachel.
Out of the corner of her eye, Rachel quickly noticed the figure.
The figure slightly pulled up the hood, revealing the face.
That person was Sabrina.
Sabrina first looked at the surrounding Crusaders and Valkyries, then cast an inquiring glance at Rachel.
After careful consideration, Rachel finally shook her head gently at Sabrina.
Ultimately, Rachel made a decision. She told the aliens in the room, "Everyone stay where you are and do not do anything rash. I will negotiate with these people and ensure everyone's safety."
Turning back to Aisha, Rachel said, "Let's find a secluded room on the ship. The three of us need to talk."
Aisha and Ivy exchanged a glance, and the latter nodded in agreement.
At Aisha and Ivy's behest, the Crusaders and Valkyries laid down their weapons.
The people in the hall were divided into two factions, each guarding against and hostile to the other, by the tables and chairs.
Although the tense atmosphere had eased somewhat, it was like the calm before the storm, still making people breathless with tension.
After that, Rachel, Evie, and Aisha went to the captain's cabin of the alien warship and began their conversation.
Entering the room, Rachel said to the other two, "What I'm about to say is something I hope you won't tell anyone else; of course, I can't control how you react after you find out, but these are my words of advice."
Aisha plopped down on the bed and said to Rachel, "Stop beating around the bush, just say what you have to say. I've seen it all in my life."
Evie leaned against the doorframe, looking coldly at Rachel.
Rachel took a breath and said slowly, "Twilight City will soon fall."
