Chapter 715 Crossing the Death Zone (Part 2)

Five minutes later, in the captain's control room.

Ivy: "The propellers won't move? How is that possible? Could it be that there are still undead moving outside the ship after that electric cloud explosion?"

Aisha shook her head and said, "Before the electric cloud explosion, a large number of undead parasites entangled the propeller. After the electric cloud explosion, although the current rendered those parasites unable to move, their remains acted like ropes, binding the propeller and preventing it from moving an inch."

Rachel suggested, "Have you tried the keel's transformation capabilities?"

Aisha: "The propeller is reversing, the keel is deforming, the shaft is shaking... I've tried everything I could, but nothing works, the ship still won't move."

Evie looked at Aisha: "What if we manually clean up the parasite remains?"

Rachel frowned. "Manually clear it? There are undead everywhere outside the ship. Wouldn't it be too dangerous to go out now?"

Aisha thought for a moment and said, "No, no, the situation is a little different. The electric cloud explosion released by the warship just now attacked all the undead within a radius of 150 meters. The small undead are probably no longer able to move, and the large undead should have been stunned or escaped."

Evie continued, "So, the area around the ship should be relatively safe now."

Rachel: "But this security won't last long; the undead could attack again at any time."

Evie: "At least it's safe now, since I didn't hear any impact."

Aisha turned to the perceptive Selma, who replied, "Within a two-kilometer radius, there are only scattered, wandering undead; no attacks against the warship have been detected."

Aisha then asked, "Where's that big guy from before?"

Selma: "I didn't sense it; perhaps it's gone."

Ivy gripped the sword at her waist and said, "Then what are we waiting for? Open the hatch and let me deal with this trouble as soon as possible."

Rachel reached out and stopped Evie.

Ivy asked unhappily, "What? You don't believe in my abilities?"

As Rachel pondered, she said, "If we had to choose someone to handle the current troubles, you would certainly be the best choice, but that doesn't mean we should choose the most dangerous path."

Evie: "I don't understand what you mean."

Rachel lowered her head and paced back and forth.

A moment later, she raised her head and said to everyone, "Among the aliens I brought, there is one who can be of help."

Rachel left the captain's cabin, and when she returned, she brought with her a dark-skinned, middle-aged man with a typical Southern face.

Upon seeing this person's face, Ivy squinted and said, "Wait a minute, I feel like I've seen you somewhere before."

The man bowed to Ivy and said calmly, "Hyatt, the fifth in line of the Conflict Legion."

Evie's eyes widened: "I remember now, you're the alien who participated in the bloody day in Holy City! You were a subordinate of Mother Goddess Eleanor, and you even tried to use the Resurrection Worm to swap Leoric's soul!"

Hyatt smiled and nodded: "That's all in the past."

Evie stared into Hyatt's eyes, slowly moving her hand towards her sword: "Why would someone loyal to Eleanor board this ship?!"

Sensing the alien Selma, she moved and stood in front of Hyatt, facing Evie without fear.

Evie stared at Selma's face and said slowly, "I also recognize your face."

Hyatt pulled Selma behind him: "She's my daughter, and she was also involved in the conflict in St. Defence."

Rachel walked to Evie's side: "Although the two of them were originally loyal to Eleanor, they have gradually seen through the Mother Goddess's deception over the years in Twilight City."

Hyatt: "I have come into contact with spirit totems, visited heaven, and personally listened to the teachings of the dragon god. After experiencing all of this, I realized that I had been living in lies and deception all along."

Selma nodded and said, "For the Dragon God, for Heaven, my father and I are willing to give everything!"

Listening to their confessions, Ivy looked on with a mixture of disbelief and skepticism.

Aisha clapped her hands vigorously: "Guys! Can we put aside our differences for a moment and work together?! Outside this ship, billions of undead are trying to tear us to pieces. Isn't that a reason for us to trust each other?"

Ivy pondered for a moment, sighed, and asked Rachel, "Tell me your plan."

"First," Rachel said, "you and Hyatt must put on the Dragonbone Armor."

Evie objected, "I don't like wearing that stuff; it only slows me down."

Rachel: "You must wear it, not only for increased strength and defense, and to provide underwater breathing, but also because the Hive communicator on the keel will allow you to stay in contact with the warship. Selma will continuously use her sensory abilities to monitor the movement within a two-kilometer radius of the ship. Once she detects an enemy, she can contact you immediately."

Evie thought for a moment and said, "Okay, I'll wear it. What's next?"

Rachel: "As the fifth in line of the Conflict Legion, Hyatt possesses the ability of teleportation. When activated, all objects within a three-meter radius of him will be teleported to any location within a few dozen meters."

Evie began to understand the other party's intentions.

Rachel: "The more people there are during the teleportation, the greater the mental burden on the aliens. Therefore, in order to be able to teleport twice in a row, Hyatt can only take you with him. You will first teleport to the water at the stern of the ship. Once there, you need to clean the propeller as quickly as possible. After the work is done, he will teleport you back."
