Chapter 767 The Day of Revelation (Part 5)

He looked at Horney's body on the ground, first rubbing his forehead with his hand, then quickly took two steps, stepped on the injured and crawling Vanya, and whispered, "I'm an honest and good man, this was just an accident... You understand me, right?"

Vanya turned her head with difficulty and glared angrily at Goodman.

Goodman kicked the old woman hard, then looked up and suddenly stopped.

He glanced at the tableware on the dining table not far away, thought for a moment, then squatted down and asked in a low voice, "There are more than just the two of you here, right?"

Vania gritted her teeth and growled, "Go to hell!"

Goodman sighed, pointed the gun at Vanya's forehead, and pulled the trigger.

Upon hearing the gunshot, Clemens shuddered and quickly retreated from the second floor.

Liz led Alice up to his side, glanced downstairs, and covered her mouth in surprise, trying her best not to scream.

Clemens took a deep breath and said to Liz, "I have to go down there."

Liz quickly grabbed him: "Don't go!"

Clemens: "The car keys and the weapons are all downstairs."

After waiting a while, Clemens leaned out slightly to take a look, then said to Liz, "Look, he's gone."

Looking down from the second floor, Liz saw that Goodman was indeed nowhere to be seen in the lobby.

Clemens nodded to Liz, then tiptoed down the stairs, bypassed the bodies of the elderly couple, and headed towards the lobby bar where the car keys were kept.

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out.

The bullet struck the table next to Clemens, sending up a cloud of sawdust.

Startled, Clemens quickly hid behind the table and closed his eyes.

Immediately afterwards, two more gunshots rang out.

The bullet struck the table in front of Clemens's hiding place with a loud bang.

Goodman's voice rang out again: "Professor Scott, I know it's you."

"You saw what just happened, I know you saw it!"

Goodman fired again, and the bullet hit the floor near Clemens' feet.

“I didn’t want to kill them; it was just an accident,” Goodman said as he approached Clemens. “I’m a decent man; I’ve rescued stray animals and helped the poor.”

"Come out, let's talk."

Clemens remained silent.

Goodman straightened up, his eyes gradually turning cold: "I can't let anyone else know about this... but only the dead keep secrets, can't they?"

Goodman came to a spot only five meters from Clemens' hiding place, pointed his gun at him, and said, "Don't worry, I guarantee everything will happen quickly, you won't feel any pain... After I'm done with you, I'm going to find your girlfriend and your daughter."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a dazzling flash of light appeared in the distant sky, illuminating the entire earth in a blinding glow.

A deafening explosion instantly silenced all other noises in the world.

The massive shockwave, like a tsunami, swept across everything on the ground.

All the hotel windows were shattered at the same time, and the tables and chairs in the rooms were thrown into the air before crashing heavily to the ground.

As the aftershocks of the explosion subsided, Clemens, gradually recovering from tinnitus and dizziness, stumbled to his feet.

Goodman fell in a corner of the hotel lobby, his fate unknown.

With a swift movement, Clemens rushed to the keypad behind the bar and began searching for the car key he wanted.

A few seconds passed, and when Clemens finally found the car key, Goodman was also struggling on the ground trying to get up.

Clemens glanced at the gun in Goodman's hand and shouted upstairs, "Wait for me at the car!"

By the time Goodman finally stood up straight, Clemens was nowhere to be seen in the lobby, while the roar of car engines could be heard from the back of the hotel.
