A normal girl, Yu Wanwan, one day stepped onto the Beastmen Continent. Powerless, she decided to cling to the coattails of the Great White Tiger.
Don't be afraid, don't be afraid. Far...
Yu Wanwan hadn't been to the beach in a long time. When she was little, her parents often took her to the beach to play. The memories of being with her family were so wonderful that she developed a very good feeling about the sea.
She opened her arms, and the sea breeze blowing in her face carried the refreshing scent of sea salt; even the sand beneath her feet felt as soft as clouds.
However, the beastmen who followed were not as relaxed as Yu Wanwan. They stared at the seaside as if facing a formidable enemy, always ready to flee.
Yu Wanwan smiled and offered some words of comfort before starting to arrange for the extraction of sea salt.
A group of orcs set up a fire in a coconut grove not far from the sea, then went to the sea to fetch water and placed a pot of powdered fruit filled with seawater on the fire.
The beastmen kept adding firewood to the fire, and the fire was so intense that Yu Wanwan could feel the heat coming from even if she got a little closer.
Mo Zhou reached out and placed his hand on Yu Wanwan's face; his cool palm immediately relieved much of the high temperature.
"Wanwan, let's go to the side, it's too hot here." Mo Zhou said with heartache as he looked at her flushed face.
Yu Wanwan shook her head: "Let me see if I can extract salt crystals first."
The rice noodle pot quickly boiled, with bubbling bubbles constantly bursting. As the flames continued to burn, the seawater in the pot gradually decreased.
After the water boiled away, You Yi pointed to the solid that appeared at the bottom of the pot and exclaimed in surprise, "Wanwan, come and see! Is this sea salt?"
His voice attracted everyone's attention, and the beastmen all gathered around.
Yu Wanwan glanced at it and saw that a layer of off-white solid had already formed at the bottom of the powder pot. She reached out and broke it off; it looked a bit like rice crust. She picked up a little powder, licked it, and confirmed, "It's salt crystals."
Upon receiving an affirmative answer, the beastmen cheered.
You Yi was the first to come to his senses and raised his hand to stop them from making a sound: "Let's keep quiet, this is the territory of the merfolk."
The beastmen then realized what was happening, exchanged glances, and fell silent.
Yu Wanwan told them to collect the salt first and then take it back to the tribe for further processing. Otherwise, there were too many impurities in the salt crystals, and Yu Wanwan couldn't guarantee that eating it would cause stomach upset or something similar.
Having witnessed that sea salt could indeed be produced, the beastmen now obeyed her every word, carefully collecting the initially extracted salt crystals and continuously adding firewood to boil the seawater.
Seeing their enthusiasm, Yu Wanwan was also quite excited.
With sea salt, Bai Jing would no longer need to travel thousands of miles to take risks.
Yu Wanwan couldn't help with starting the fire, and the beastmen knew what to do next. Feeling bored, Yu Wanwan was taken by Mo Zhou to pick coconuts.
Mo Zhou shrunk to the right size and swam up to a tall coconut tree. Yu Wanwan used her hands as a curtain and stood a little distance away, looking up at him.
Mo Zhou darted into the coconut and fiddled around inside for a while. Then, one huge coconut after another crashed down, the loud noise startling Yu Wanwan so much that she took a few steps back. Only after Mo Zhou came down did she dare to approach.
Mo Zhou transformed into a half-human form, picked up a coconut, selected a spot, and gently poked it with his finger, easily piercing a hole in the hard coconut shell.
"Try it this evening."
Yu Wanwan took the coconut.
This coconut was really big, and it was quite heavy to hold in my arms. Yu Wanwan knew she couldn't possibly drink a coconut with her bare hands without a straw.
She looked around, found a long blade of grass, washed it clean, wrapped it in a circle, and stuffed it tightly into the hole that Mo Zhou had made.
Using a simple homemade straw, Yu Wanwan smoothly drank the refreshing coconut juice.
It's sweet and has a pleasant coconut scent.
Yu Wanwan presented the coconut to Mo Zhou, and the two of them sweetly finished the coconut.
After they had drunk their fill, Mo Zhou knocked down several more coconut trees. Yu Wanwan called a beastman and asked him to collect all the coconuts so that everyone could have a taste.
Seeing this, Mo Zhou gave a cold snort.
The orc who came to move the coconuts froze, stopping in his tracks and unable to move.
Yu Wanwan knew that Mo Zhou was unwilling to share his "prey" with others. She shook Mo Zhou's hand and said in a sweet voice, "Mo Zhou, you're the best. The coconuts you knocked out are delicious. Let's let everyone try them and let them know how amazing you are, okay?"
Mo Zhou's temper was completely extinguished by the little female. He clung to Yu Wanwan's body and hummed again, but this time the hum was both arrogant and sweet: "Alright then, since you've spoken up, let's give these beastmen a little treat."
The orcs carrying the coconuts felt like they'd been granted a pardon; they hoisted the coconuts and fled as fast as the wind.
After picking the coconuts, Mo Zhou took Yu Wanwan to the beach, picked up a pretty seashell, and handed it to her: "Do you like it?"
The seashell was a beautiful fan shape, pure white and flawless, more beautiful than any seashell Yu Wanwan had ever seen before.
Yu Wanwan held the seashell in her hand and kissed Mo Zhou on the cheek: "Mo Zhou, thank you."
Mo Zhou didn't say anything, but his tail was already wagging happily.
It was almost noon when Mo Zhou asked considerately, "Wanwan, would you like some fish soup?"
Yu Wanwan nodded repeatedly, then grabbed Mo Zhou's hand and shook it ingratiatingly: "Mo Zhou, can you catch more fish? Everyone is hungry."
Everyone else is busy boiling salt, but she and Mo Zhou are idle. It would be really unreasonable if they didn't help out by cooking or something.
Mo Zhou didn't speak, but simply touched his lips with his finger.
