In the year 2048, following the fall of a meteorite to Earth, an unknown gas was emitted. Subsequently, species globally began to mutate, and humanity was no longer at the apex of the food chain. C...
The ripples created by these waves surged further and further away, becoming increasingly magnificent and turbulent, until the sea level rose and reached a range of up to one kilometer inland.
Until it was blocked by the mountain range beneath Sun Muchen's feet.
And the distant sea.
The waves were surging and the air was thick with moisture.
But considering the height of the mountain, it seems unlikely that the sea monster will actually come ashore. After all, the sea monster is much taller than the mountain, and the shallow water is simply not enough to contain its enormous body.
It seems something must have happened at sea.
Sun Muchen looked down at the sea. The waves were crashing and the roaring sound was constant. Although the distance from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the mountain was not far, the seawater still looked pitch black.
The sea breeze made Sun Muchen feel a chill to the bone.
Blue magical energy covered his body, forming an absolute protective barrier, and Sun Muchen felt the cold lessen considerably.
“The seawater seems to have risen quite a bit more,” the Holy Envoy said as he approached. “As far as I know, the seawater was only halfway up the mountain before, but now it looks like it has clearly gone over the mountainside.”
"Oh? How long did it take for the water to rise from the mountainside?"
The envoy thought for a moment and said, "It's only been a few hours. It's only been a short time since dawn. I learned about this news in the middle of the night."
“It does seem very fast,” Sun Muchen said.
The holy envoy pointed ahead and said, "Back then, it was in that very spot that the villagers found you."
Sun Muchen ignored him, not knowing why he would say such a thing out of the blue. He nodded slightly and then manipulated the magical energy within his body. A wisp of blue light covering his body split off and drifted into the seawater. A faint blue light also visibly spread across the surface of the seawater.
This scene was truly wondrous. The Holy Envoy stared intently at the blue light on the surface of the sea, glancing at Sun Muchen every now and then, seemingly with great interest.
After a while, Sun Muchen's brows gradually furrowed. The Holy Envoy noticed the change in her expression and asked, "What's wrong? Have you discovered something?"
Sun Muchen opened his eyes, and at the same time, the blue light receded. Sun Muchen spoke, "This seabed seems..."
Before he finished speaking, a "plop" sound suddenly rang out on the sea.
A dark shadow leaped out of the water and flew straight toward the two of them at an incredible speed.
Sun Muchen's eyes widened instantly. He raised both hands forward, and blue magical energy surged forth, countless strands splitting off from his body and shooting out, wrapping around the dark figure and tightly binding it in mid-air.
Then, upon seeing the true form of this thing, the two were immediately stunned.
They hadn't expected it to be a large black fish, over a meter long. It looked much like an ordinary fish, except that its scales were pitch black, and its fins on its back and sides were longer than those of an ordinary fish. It also had two claws on its belly that looked like chicken feet.
Although the blackfish was imprisoned in mid-air by Sun Muchen, its two immature claws were still waving incessantly, as if trying to break free from the restraints imposed on it by Sun Muchen.
The envoy stared at the fish and asked in surprise, "This is... a blackfish? It's a blackfish?"
Sun Muchen cast a spell in mid-air, glanced at the Holy Envoy, frowned, and then clenched his fist. The blue light that had imprisoned the black fish transformed into countless strands and shot into the black fish's body. The black fish instantly became motionless, clearly killed by Sun Muchen's magic that pierced through its body.
At this moment, Sun Muchen opened his clenched fist, and the black fish was immediately torn into countless small pieces by magical energy. Each piece was enveloped in magical energy, and not a drop of blood flowed out.
Sun Muchen carefully examined the dismembered black fish.
The envoy sensed something and said, "You don't need to be so cautious. I told you, there was no deception this time. This black fish is not a mechanical being."
“Indeed not,” Sun Muchen waved his hand, and the blue light instantly enveloped the black fish and threw it back into the sea.
Pat pat pat...
The minced meat splashed into the water, making a series of chaotic sounds.
Immediately afterwards, the already chaotic sea became even more turbulent.
The seawater seemed to be boiling, becoming turbulent and restless as the bits of blackfish flesh entered.
"What... what's going on?"
The envoy's usually deep but calm voice suddenly showed a hint of panic, and he even seemed to be afraid of the sudden change in the seawater, and subconsciously took a few steps back.
Sun Muchen had no time to observe the changes in the Holy Envoy. Her gaze was fixed on the surging sea, her brows furrowed. The blue magical energy all over her body seemed to sense the changes in the sea and became excited in an instant. This blue magical energy was like an electric current, and it even made a crackling sound.
When she released her magic to explore the seabed, she discovered that there was a lot of powerful energy beneath the surface. Although this energy was insignificant compared to her, each energy was as powerful as two or three ordinary people combined.
Sun Muchen clenched his fists, clearly ready for battle.
At that moment, the seawater on the restless surface suddenly surged upwards.
At the same time, a flash of blue light suddenly appeared in Sun Muchen's eyes.
"Bang!"
A dark shadow emerged from the seabed and rushed towards the two of them.
