Wang Lan went out of the house and immediately saw the person lying by the window with an arrow stuck in his left chest. The person was motionless and must be dead.

Wang Lan couldn't help but marvel at Sun Muchen's archery skills. He walked over and pulled out the arrow. Suddenly, a sense of curiosity arose in his heart, and he wondered what this unlucky fellow looked like, so he lowered his head.

But upon closer inspection, Wang Lan immediately detected a nauseating stench.

Then I saw the corpse at my feet. It was dead with its eyes wide open, its eyes completely white. Its clothes were tattered, and its exposed skin was covered with lividity.

He instinctively reached behind him, only to realize that there was nothing behind him; he hadn't brought the Vajra Umbrella with him at all. The corpse was incredibly fast, rushing towards him in a matter of moments. Wang Lan had no choice but to kick it out.

The kick landed on the corpse, sending it flying. The corpse rolled a few times on the ground before getting back up, letting out a series of low, eerie roars.

Wang Lan was confident that the force of that kick would have crippled anyone, but the opponent was still able to stand up. He couldn't help but marvel, thinking, "No wonder he's a corpse!"

Wang Lan drew the dagger from his waist, his most personal item which he never parted with. The corpse charged forward again, and Wang Lan rushed towards it.

Under the dim light of the final fortress, the dagger seemed to gleam with golden light as it was held in Wang Lan's hand.

"Pfft!"

A golden light swept across her neck.

The body was decapitated and lay on the ground.
