Jiang Nian'an looked up and gazed across the lake.

There were indeed more than a dozen figures loitering on the other side, occasionally pointing at the broken bridge.

"Captain, should we follow them and see what happens?"

As Jie Rong watched the car almost disappear from sight, she couldn't help but ask her team leader, Feng Kun.

Another teammate, Xu Hui, also chimed in to persuade Feng Kun.

Feng Kun leaned out of the driver's side window and glanced ahead.

There was no movement at all on the other side of the lake.

Feng Kun gritted his teeth, turned the truck around, and it slowly nodded before chasing after Shen Nanxing and his companion.

Their actions inspired the other survivors.

Before long, more than a dozen cars left the convoy, all with the same idea as Feng Kun, following behind Shen Nanxing and his group at a distance.

Jiang Nian'an and Shen Nanxing had already noticed that someone was following them.

However, neither of them paid any attention to it.

If they can walk this road, others can too.

However, the commotion was so great that it startled many mutated creatures, who then launched an attack on them.

Shen Nanxing remained calm, flooring the accelerator and speeding up, knocking away the mutated creatures that were rushing towards him.

Even though they had mutated, they were still like they were before the apocalypse. Most of the mutated creatures that stayed quietly in the fields were timid. After being bumped into by Shen Nanxing, they dared not attack again.

They were driving a dilapidated pickup truck, and even at top speed, they couldn't be as dashing as Shen Nanxing and his group.

Instead, many mutated plants pulled at the rearview mirrors and the carriage, climbing up and banging against their windows.

"Xu Hui, get them down here quickly!"

Jie Rong, who had no special abilities, urged Xu Hui, who had awakened her water-based abilities, to attack.

Jie Rong's commanding tone made Xu Hui feel somewhat displeased.

The other team members, crammed into the carriage, hurriedly looked ahead.

Just now, Jiang Nian'an told Shen Nanxing that she was hungry, and Shen Nanxing immediately stopped the car without saying a word.

So Feng Kun and his group saw Shen Nanxing get out of the car and head straight for the trunk.

They took out a picnic mat, a rice cooker, a power bank, and bottled water from the trunk.

After he had prepared everything, Jiang Nian'an got out of the car.

She was also carrying a travel bag.

A rustling sound came from behind.

Jiang Nian'an turned her head to look.

The little mutated creatures were running away as fast as they could, their toes barely touching the ground.

Jiang Nian'an lowered her head and smelled the durian, looking quite pleased. "Doesn't it smell wonderful? Brother Chen, you should try some!"
