Jiang Wenxi was tricked by her family into an apocalyptic game, unaware that it was a real apocalypse inside. A special spatial fusion would soon spread to their world. By a twist of fate, Jiang We...
Jiang Wenxi carefully looked at the surrounding environment and saw many animal footprints on the ground.
"Host, the fight has begun."
"Where's Xiaoran?"
"He's fine."
Jiang Wenxi quickened her pace and when she was a distance away, she heard the howling of a wolf.
I vaguely saw Xiaoran's figure, drew out his Tang sword, cut off the annoying branches, and my vision became clear, so I could see the situation in front clearly.
When Gu Ran saw Jiang Wenxi, a smile appeared on his face.
"Boss, come quickly." The man jumped down directly.
Jiang Wenxi glanced at the sheep fighting fiercely with the wolf, then looked again uncertainly. The pattern had changed, but it was still a wolf.
The sheep are not docile either, their horns have mutated to look more like deer antlers.
Seeing that they had no influence on Gu Ran, Jiang Wenxi decided not to disturb them for the time being. She would wait until both sides were injured and then she would clean up the mess.
When she arrived at the pit and looked down, she realized that she had thought too well.
Gu Ran was already fighting with the wolves in the pit, which also contained a sturdy yak.
"Do you need help?"
"No, Boss, keep an eye on the hole and don't let anything inside escape."
Only then did Jiang Wenxi discover that there were more than a dozen holes below, and none of them were big.
"Does the system have tools? There's no other way out of this cave?"
"Host, this is the only exit."
Gu Ran was still carrying an electric baton, and there were seven or eight wolves lying at his feet. Jiang Wenxi found it weird no matter how she looked at it. She wondered if the fur could be sold. The natural pattern should be very valuable.
Four or five of them surrounded Xiaoran and growled, while the rest scattered and climbed up.
Jiang Wenxi did not stop him and let him run away. Too much blood smell would attract other creatures.
Yaks are more difficult to deal with in there. They are the largest in size and charge around recklessly. Electric batons will not be very effective in the short term and will instead make them angry.
Jiang Wenxi found the anesthetic and shot the yak.
When the yak fell, Gu Ran felt a lot more relieved, and the remaining two fled with their tails between their legs.
Gu Ran waved his hands from below: "Boss, they won't come out."
Jiang Wenxi thought, are you looking for death? But she still satisfied Gu Ran and dropped the tools she had prepared long ago.
"Xiao Ran, secure it at the entrance of the cave. I'll lead it out later."
Gu Ran took action immediately. Jiang Wenxi glanced at the wolves and sheep above, which had also run away.
Perhaps thinking they were the most dangerous, Jiang Wenxi collected a few dead wolves and took them back to skin them.
Gu Ran fixed the net cages one by one. Seeing that Gu Ran was ready, Jiang Wenxi threw down a bottle of medicine and a big bag of steamed buns.
"Drop the medicine on the buns and put them in the cage."
Gu Ran immediately did as he was told, "How long do you want to wait, Boss?"
"Come up, it will probably take more than half an hour."
Gu Ran climbed up and Jiang Wenxi brought some food to Gu Ran. He must be hungry after being active for so long.
More than 10 minutes later, Jiang Wenxi saw the little creature sticking its head out, and it was running around anxiously at the entrance of the cave, sniffing here and there, but it didn't dare to go down.
"Xiaoran, how did you find this place?"
"Everyone who comes after it, chase it, it's delicious."
Jiang Wenxi felt that there was absolutely no problem with his intelligence. He grasped the key points at the first moment, which was very impressive.
She might not be able to think of it.
After waiting for a few more minutes, one of them finally couldn't hold back and climbed into the cage. With the first one, more followed.
One after another, all trying to earn a few pieces of steamed buns.
"so much?"
Jiang Wenxi thought there would be at most a few hundred of them, but the number that came out now far exceeded her estimate.
"This host reproduces very quickly. A litter of at least seven or eight babies is enough, and a whole litter can be born every month."
Looking at the almost full net cage, Jiang Wenxi felt that it was enough, there were at least more than a thousand fish in it.
A portion must be left for reproduction, leaving some food for the animals here.
"The system is closing in."
The net nailed to the hole snapped and automatically fastened, and the little thing inside was struggling frantically.
A puff of air suddenly came out of the buckle on the net. It was a tranquilizer, and the struggle gradually quieted down.
Jiang Wenxi went down to collect the net and stuffed a few steamed buns into each hole as comfort food.
She doesn't take it for nothing.
Gu Ran was rubbing his hands anxiously. The food had been put away, but he still wanted to try something new.
Jiang Wenxi climbed up the rock wall and saw Gu Ran's expression. How could she not understand?
"Let's go and grill it outside."
Gu Ran nodded and followed Jiang Wenxi. He would behave himself as long as there was food to eat.
Jiang Wenxi asked the system to help process dozens of them on the way, and she had not yet figured out what to do with the rest.
The space to keep it needs to be replanned.
When she reached the edge, the system had already processed everything, and Jiang Minxi took out the roasted, golden and crispy mouse.
The system cut off the entire head. Jiang Wenxi didn't know whether to say that the system was considerate or more angry.
Although the rest of the body is chubby, it is not big, not much bigger than an adult's palm.
Gu Ran took a bite while it was still hot, squinted his eyes happily, and looked very satisfied.
Jiang Wenxi simply took out everything that was cooked in the space, including roasted dishes, stewed dishes, and stir-fried dishes.
"Host, why don't you try it?"
"No, I'm not hungry."
She still found it a little hard to accept, as she always felt like she was eating a mouse. Although the system explained that it looked like a mouse, its body was clean and non-toxic, and more of its genes were closer to birds.
I don’t know whether it is degeneration or a new variety created by fusion.
"Is Xiaoran delicious?"
Gu Ran nodded. Jiang Wenxi took a deep breath, prepared herself mentally, scooped a spoonful of soup, and was stunned when she took a sip.
"System, are you sure you didn't put anything in here?"
"Host, this is its original taste."
