Xiao Yi began searching for suitable clothing, hoping to cover the monster's purple skin. He wandered through the ruins, carefully avoiding the wandering zombies and traps. Finally, in a deserted shopping mall, he found some relatively intact clothing.

He returned to the monster's hiding place and handed the clothes to it. The monster looked at him with cloudy eyes, seeming a little confused. But Xiao Yi gently stroked its head and said softly: "Put it on, so you will look more like a human."

The monster seemed to understand what he meant. It began to put on the clothes with trembling hands. Although the process was a bit difficult, it finally succeeded in covering its entire body. Xiao Yi looked at it and felt an inexplicable emotion in his heart.

Although the zombie features on Lin Yi could not be completely eliminated, at least in appearance, he had been able to blend into the human world and was no longer so creepy.

What surprised Xiao Yi even more was that he gradually discovered that Lin Yi, a half-human, half-zombie, seemed to have a special status in the apocalypse. The zombies did not attack Lin Yi, but instead regarded him as one of their own and even subconsciously protected him.

An Fei is a survivor Xiao Yi met during the apocalypse. She was originally a doctor, and after the apocalypse, she used her medical knowledge to help many injured people. When she learned about Lin Yi's situation, she also showed great interest.

"This is truly amazing!" An Fei looked at Lin Yi, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. "I've never seen such an example before, a zombie actually protecting a human."

Xiao Yi nodded and said, "Yeah, I didn't expect that. Since we have Lin Yi, we no longer have to worry about being harassed by zombies. They seem to regard Lin Yi as their leader, or at least as one of their kind."

An Fei nodded thoughtfully and said, "This may be because Lin Yi has both zombie characteristics and human thinking. The zombies can sense his presence, but they don't regard him as an enemy. This characteristic is undoubtedly invaluable in the apocalypse."

Xiao Yi nodded in agreement, his heart filled with gratitude towards Lin Yi. In this world full of terror and despair, Lin Yi's existence undoubtedly gave them a glimmer of hope.

With Lin Yi's company, Xiao Yi and An Fei began to explore this apocalyptic world more boldly. They took Lin Yi with them, looking for food and water, and facing the wandering zombies and unknown dangers together.

Lin Yi also gradually adapted to his new identity. He began to learn how to get along better with zombies and humans, and how to find his place in this doomsday.

In this way, the combination of three people and one zombie struggled forward in the apocalypse. They might not be able to change the fate of the world, but at least they brought a glimmer of warmth and hope to this world full of despair in their own way.

Just when Xiao Yi, An Fei, and Lin Yi thought they had finally found some peace in the apocalypse and were starting a new life, something unexpected happened. The sun, already scorching, suddenly became even hotter, as if even the air was about to ignite.

The extremely hot weather made it almost impossible to breathe, and even the modified RV seemed powerless to withstand it. The temperature inside the car rose rapidly, and although they opened all the vents and used various cooling devices, they still couldn't withstand the fierce heat.

"We have to find a place to hide as soon as possible. We won't be able to bear it if this goes on!" Xiao Yi looked out of the car anxiously, and saw that the ground in the distance had begun to appear distorted, as if the whole world was distorted by the high temperature.

An Fei also had a serious expression on her face. She took out a map and carefully searched for a possible shelter. "Here, there's an abandoned mine. We can go there to take shelter temporarily," she said, pointing to a mark on the map.

Although Lin Yi didn't say anything, his eyes were full of determination. He knew that they were now a team and had to face this challenge together.

So, the three of them and the zombie quickly packed up their necessary items and drove to the abandoned mine. Along the way, they could see almost all creatures looking for a place to escape the heat, and even some zombies were slowed down by the high temperature.

After a difficult journey, they finally reached the mine's entrance. Though narrow, the cavern felt chilly. They eagerly entered, only to feel a rush of cool air wash over them, as if they had instantly returned from hell to earth.

Although the mine was dark and damp, it was the perfect refuge for them at the moment. They found a relatively dry spot and set up a simple tent, preparing to weather the solar flare.

Lin Yi also seemed to feel the safety here. He lay quietly in the corner, letting the coolness seep into his body. Xiao Yi and An Fei began to get busy. They prepared food and water to ensure that life in the mine could continue.
