Chapter 666: Performing Surgery on Yourself

Then, he slowly sat down against the wall, breathing heavily. After recovering a little, he began to treat his wounds.

With shaking hands, he dug out a worn but clean first aid kit from his backpack. He opened it and saw that there were only a few medicines and bandages left.

Xiao Yi gritted his teeth and carefully tore off the clothes around the wound. Every movement brought a burst of piercing pain. The wound was bloody and fleshy, and in some places, even bones could be seen.

He rinsed the wound with disinfectant. The intense stinging made him gasp, and beads of sweat rolled down his forehead. But he didn't stop and continued to clean the stains and blood from the wound.

After treating the wound, he wrapped the bandage around and around, his movements clumsy but meticulous. Each time he wrapped it around, it felt like he was playing a tug-of-war with death.

When the bandage was finally completed, Xiao Yi collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath, but a glimmer of hope appeared in his eyes. Xiao Yi was surrounded by a horrifying swarm of zombies, surrounded by those twisted, deformed, and foul-smelling figures.

The zombies around him were madly baring their teeth and claws, their mouths wide open, revealing incomplete, bloodstained fangs, and low, hoarse roars coming from their throats. Some zombies stretched out their arms that were as dry as branches, and the sharp nails on their fingertips seemed to be able to cut through human skin in an instant; some zombies stared at Xiao Yi with empty but greedy eyes, and couldn't wait to pounce on him.

Xiao Yi's eyes widened, burning with anger and determination. He gripped the heavy sword tightly, the veins on his arms bulging. With a roar, he swung the sword with all his might, each blow seeming to pour all his life force into it.

The long sword drew sharp arcs in the air, accompanied by the sound of whirring wind. Every time it came into contact with a zombie, a dull thud was heard, splashing a disgusting black blood. Xiao Yi's movements were swift and powerful. He clenched his teeth, and his cheeks bulged with force.

His roar echoed throughout the room, as if declaring to these evil creatures his unwavering resolve to never give in. With each strike, he could feel the powerful resistance of the long knife as it pierced the zombie's body, but he didn't flinch. He used all his strength to pull the long knife free, swinging it fiercely at another zombie.

Sweat streamed down his forehead like rain, blurring his eyes, but he didn't bother to wipe it off, simply hacking and slashing furiously. His breathing was rapid and heavy, his chest heaving violently, but the long sword in his hand never stopped for a moment.

In this extremely chaotic battle, a zombie with a twisted body suddenly pounced from the side. Its speed was so fast that it caught people off guard.

Before Xiao Yi could react, the zombie bit his left arm fiercely. The sharp teeth instantly pierced his skin and embedded deeply into his muscles. The severe pain instantly spread throughout his body like an electric current.

Amidst the intense pain, Xiao Yi's eyes flashed with ruthlessness. Unleashing a powerful force, he thrust the long knife into the zombie's skull. As a stream of black pus and blood gushed out, the zombie's teeth released his arm. Xiao Yi then swung the half-dead zombie with all his might.

However, just as he was dealing with this zombie, another zombie took the opportunity to pounce on him. Its sharp claws slashed across like lightning, leaving several deep scratches on his right leg.

Blood immediately gushed out like a fountain, staining his trouser legs red in the blink of an eye. The bright red color was particularly glaring in this dark and terrifying scene.

Xiao Yi gasped in pain, with beads of sweat rolling down his forehead, but he had no time to check his wound because more zombies were rushing towards him.

Xiao Yi gritted his teeth. The sharp pain from the zombie bites and scratches was like countless sharp knives constantly stirring his nerves. But he endured the pain that almost swallowed him, gripped the long knife in his hand again, and continued to fight the zombies without hesitation.

Every swing of the knife was accompanied by muscle twitching and tearing of the wound, the pain making his body tremble involuntarily. However, his eyes remained firm and fierce, with no intention of retreating.

As time went by, Xiao Yi's physical strength was rapidly depleted, and his movements gradually became sluggish. The slashing blows that were once as fast as the wind now became heavy and difficult. Every time he raised his arm, it felt like a thousand-pound weight was pressing on it.

His breathing became increasingly rapid, and he gasped for air in long, heavy gulps. Each breath was accompanied by a painful groan, and his chest rose and fell violently like a bellows. The air was filled with the strong smell of blood and his heavy breathing.

Sweat soaked his clothes and continued to flow down his cheeks, mixing with the blood of the zombies splashing on his face, blurring his vision. But Xiao Yi didn't bother to wipe it off. He just relied on his tenacious will and instinct for survival to mechanically repeat the action of swinging the knife, fighting desperately with wave after wave of zombies.

Xiao Yi's body has reached its limit, every inch of muscle is screaming in pain, and every breath is like struggling on the edge of hell. But deep in his heart, an unyielding fire is burning, driving him to continue fighting.

He swung the long sword wildly. The blade was stained with blood and its original color could not be seen. The broken limbs of zombies were scattered all around him.

Suddenly, Xiao Yi burst out with an unprecedented force and rushed forward with all his strength. His long sword slashed like lightning, and the zombies in front of him fell down one after another.
