At first, his injuries were severe. Every breath and every subtle movement would cause the wound to ache, causing excruciating pain. But as the days passed, Xiao Yi could feel the changes gradually taking place inside his body, nourished by the fresh air and tranquil environment.

The muscle tissue at the wound began to grow slowly, and new cells continued to divide and extend, filling the damaged area. The once hideous wound gradually closed and scarred, and the itchy and tingling feeling often reminded Xiao Yi that his body was recovering.

The wind rustled his clothes, but it couldn't shake his forward-moving figure. Carrying his bag and holding a long sword, his figure, silhouetted by the sunlight, appeared exceptionally resolute. The flowers and plants on the roadside swayed gently, as if bidding him farewell. Xiao Yi walked on without hesitation. He knew that the road ahead might be full of unknown dangers, but he was ready to face all challenges.

Xiao Yi walked down the plateau with steady steps, the gravel and soil under his feet making subtle sounds as he stepped on them. He stared straight at the direction of the zombie group that had once frightened him, without a trace of dodging.

His steps were firm and powerful, each one raising a cloud of dust. Once, that direction had meant death and despair to him, an endless abyss of terror. But now, there was no longer any fear in his heart, only determination and courage.

Xiao Yi's breathing was steady and deep. He could feel his heartbeat, which was not accelerated by fear, but a rhythm full of fighting spirit. The wind whistled across his cheeks, as if trying to stop him from moving forward, but he did not flinch and walked against the wind.

The surrounding scenery quickly receded before his eyes, and he only had his sights on the direction of his goal. He recalled the time he had fled in panic from the zombie horde. Those moments of fear and helplessness now became his driving force to move forward.

He told himself that this time, he would not run away, nor be dominated by fear. His pace became faster and faster, with a desperate momentum, he marched forward towards the unknown and dangerous place without hesitation.

The sunlight shone on him, casting a long shadow. The shadow seemed to be full of strength and determination, running towards the challenges ahead with him.

Xiao Yi rushed all the way, and soon encountered a small group of zombies.

These zombies were twisted, staggering, and uttering creepy growls. Their skin was pale and rotten, with bones exposed in some places. Their cloudy eyes held only a desire for life.

Xiao Yi's footsteps suddenly stopped, and his eyes instantly became alert. He clenched the long knife in his hand, and his knuckles turned slightly white due to the force.

The zombies also noticed Xiao Yi's presence. They seemed to be stimulated, and let out more rapid roars, rushing towards Xiao Yi frantically.
