(Apocalypse + Rebirth + Space + Hoarding + Ruthless Character + Golden Finger)
Xiao Yi, a ruthless King of Soldiers who struggled for five years in the apocalypse, was betrayed by his comrade...
The mercenaries' attack was as ferocious as a torrential downpour. Shells whistled and exploded around Noah's Ark, seemingly shattering the tranquility of the sea. Each explosion sent a towering column of water soaring, like a giant sea monster leaping from the depths and crashing back down. Seawater was thrown high into a dense curtain, then poured down like a torrential downpour, shrouding the Ark in a mist. The Ark's shield, once radiating a soft, pale blue glow, acted like a transparent protective film, protecting those on board. However, under the mercenaries' relentless and fierce assault, that glow gradually dimmed, like a candle flickering in the wind. The defense team members wore solemn expressions, straining to maintain the shield's power. They stared intently at the intricate instruments, their hands darting across the consoles. Beads of sweat streamed down their foreheads, streaking across their faces, stained with oil and dust. "No! The shield won't hold out much longer at this rate!" the team member responsible for the shield's energy supply shouted anxiously, his voice trembling. His eyes were fixed on the energy monitor, the readings dropping at an alarming rate. The constantly fluctuating numbers, like the toll of a countdown clock, hammered home to everyone. Xiao Yi's brows furrowed like two locked peaks, his eyes revealing deep worry, yet a glimmer of determination. He knew that if the shield collapsed, the Ark would be completely exposed to enemy fire, with disastrous consequences. His mind raced, mulling over countermeasures. Meanwhile, the psychics' counterattack was also encountering immense difficulties. The mercenary ships, like cunning wolves, darted and dodged across the sea. Not only were they agile, but they were also equipped with special defensive devices: a shimmering energy shield, like an invisible armor, greatly reducing the effectiveness of psychic attacks. Every time the psychics unleashed powerful attacks, the energy shield rippled, negating most of the force, leaving only minor damage to the ships. "Concentrate your psychic energy on their bows, disrupting their formation!" Xiao Yi shouted, his voice clear and audible above the roar of gunfire, resolute and powerful like a bell, a shot of strength in the hearts of the men. Upon hearing this, the psychics quickly adjusted their strategies, concentrating their forces. Suddenly, a riot of light shone across the ark: red like fire, blue like ice, yellow like lightning. Powerful beams of psychic energy shot like sharp arrows towards the mercenary ships. These beams intertwined in the air, forming a dazzling and dangerous curtain of light, hurtling towards the enemy. One ship was struck on the bow, and instantly, a massive ball of flame shot up into the sky. Like a ferocious dragon, the flames devoured everything with voracious greed. The wooden structure of the bow quickly ignited, crackling and sending sparks flying. The crew fled in panic, some trying to put out the flames with buckets of water, but all seemed futile against the raging fire. The ship instantly lost its bearings and spun on the sea, floundering helplessly like a headless fly in the waves. Around it, other ships were thrown into disarray by the sudden change, and the previously orderly attack formation fell into disarray. The mercenary leader, observing this, flew into a rage. His single eye nearly popped out of its socket, his face trembling with fury as he hurled curses. He brandished his long sword, roaring at his men, attempting to regroup and resume the attack. Under his command, the mercenary ships quickly adjusted their positions. Some slowed to protect the burning vessel, while others intensified their attacks, raining down shells in ever-increasing intensity. Xiao Yi, observing the enemy's reaction, knew the situation remained dire. He turned to the defense team and shouted, "How long can the shield hold?" The team leader gritted his teeth, nervously operating the equipment, and replied, "Five minutes at most!" Xiao Yi's heart sank. He knew he had to come up with a solution within those five minutes, or the Ark would be doomed. At that moment, Xiao Yi's gaze swept over the various supplies piled aboard the Ark, and a bold idea struck him. He quickly ran to a pile of scrap metal and shouted, "Attack team, collect as much as possible! Psychics, prepare to use your powers to melt this metal and shape it into sharp missiles! We're going to give them a surprise counterattack!" Upon hearing the order, everyone sprang into action without hesitation. Like nimble monkeys, the attack team members scurried across the Ark, gathering scrap metal piece by piece and quickly carrying it to the psychics. The psychics unleashed their powers. Some ignited blazing flames in their hands, rapidly melting the metal. Others blazed powerful beams of energy from their eyes, precisely controlling the molten metal and shaping it into sharp missiles. With their combined efforts, the blazing metal missiles quickly took shape. By this point, the shield's glow had dimmed to a point where it was almost transparent, poised to shatter at any moment. Xiao Yi glanced at the shield, then at the prepared missiles, silently calculating the timing. When a mercenary ship approached within the appropriate distance, he shouted, "Fire!" With a wave of his hands, the psychics launched a barrage of blazing metal missiles like meteors towards the vessel. These missiles, carrying immense speed, heat, and powerful impact, instantly pierced the mercenary ship's special defenses. The missiles impacted the ship's hull with a series of fiery explosions, blasting holes in the hull and sending plumes of smoke billowing into the air. The crew was ripped apart, their flesh and blood scattering, their screams echoing in agony. Seeing their comrades under attack, the other mercenary ships turned and headed towards the Ark, attempting retaliation. Xiao Yi seized the opportunity to shout to the defense team, "Stop maintaining shields and focus on repairing the weapons systems! Psychics and attack teams, prepare for another wave of enemy attacks!" Upon hearing the order, the defense team members quickly shifted their focus to repairing the weapons systems. They expertly manipulated various tools, repairing the damaged weapons. Meanwhile, the psychics and attack teams stood in full battle, their eyes revealing a fierce determination, ready for a final, desperate stand against the enemy. The mercenary ships rapidly approached the Ark, and the sound of gunfire rang out again. This time, without the protection of the Ark's shields, the attack was more direct and fierce. Shells continuously exploded on the Ark, shattering wooden planks and destroying some equipment. The people on the Ark weaved in and out of the hail of bullets, dodging the enemy attacks and looking for opportunities to counterattack. Xiao Yi, armed with a homemade crossbow, stood high on the Ark, calmly observing the battlefield. Whenever he saw an enemy vulnerable, he swiftly fired an arrow, accurately hitting the target. Beside him, the psychics continuously unleashed their powers, engaging in fierce confrontations with the enemy. Some created walls of ice around the Ark, blocking enemy shells; others summoned fierce winds in an attempt to disrupt the enemy's fire. Not to be outdone, the members of the attack team fired at the enemy ships with their crude weapons. Despite their crude weapons, their fire was remarkably accurate, inflicting considerable casualties. The mercenaries' fierce resistance temporarily halted the attack. However, the mercenaries were formidable, and they quickly adjusted their attack strategy. Several ships dispersed, attacking the Ark from different directions, attempting to distract the enemy. Seeing the enemy's actions, Xiao Yi knew he had to devise a countermeasure quickly. He looked around and spotted a rocky area to one side of the Ark. An idea struck him, and he shouted to the crowd, "Everyone, listen! Let's lure the enemy to the reef area and use the rocks to hinder their movement!" With that, Xiao Yi led a group of men, deliberately firing towards the reef to draw the enemy's attention. Seeing the men on the Ark fleeing toward the reef, the mercenaries, assuming they were panicking, pursued them without hesitation. As the mercenary ships approached the reef, trouble arose. The reef, hidden beneath the surface, was difficult to detect. Some of the ships accidentally collided with it, slicing their hulls and sending water rushing in. The mercenary ships were thrown into chaos, forcing them to slow down and carefully dodge the reef. Seizing this opportunity, Xiao Yi shouted, "It's time to counterattack! Psychics, attack with all your might! Strike force, concentrate your fire!" A powerful attack erupted from the Ark. The psychics unleashed their full powers, sending bolts of light blazing like lightning towards the enemy ships. The members of the attack force also trained all their weapons on the enemy, firing frantically. Under the fierce attack of the Ark, the mercenary ships suffered heavy damage. Ship after ship caught fire, and some even began to sink. The mercenary leader saw the situation was dire, knowing that further action would only lead to annihilation. Reluctantly, he gritted his teeth and ordered a retreat. The mercenary ships turned around and fled the battlefield in disarray. When the people on the Ark saw the enemy leaving, they cheered. In this fierce battle, they relied on their tenacious will and the power of unity to successfully repel the mercenary group. But Xiao Yi knew that this was only a temporary victory, and there would be more challenges waiting for them in the future. He looked at his tired but smiling companions and said loudly: "Thank you for your hard work! But we can't let our guard down, the enemy may come back at any time. We must repair the Ark as soon as possible, improve our strength, and prepare for the next challenge!" Everyone nodded, and then began to devote themselves to the post-war cleanup and reconstruction work. On this vast sea, although Noah's Ark was scarred, it still floated firmly, carrying the hopes of everyone and continuing to sail towards the unknown distance.
