Suddenly Su Xixi realized what was happening, hurriedly left Xu Xing's embrace, and said in a choked voice, her voice trembling with nervousness.

"Xu Xing, hurry! Hurry... hurry! My best friends and I are watching a movie here, but my parents are still sleeping on the third floor. Go check on them quickly."

After Su Xixi finished speaking, she glanced at the bloodstains on the ground belonging to her three best friends and was overcome with grief once again.

The group hurriedly boarded the elevator, and just before the doors closed, the husky managed to squeeze in and nestled at Susie's feet, whimpering softly.

Upon reaching the third floor, bloodstains were scattered everywhere on the floor, and various miscellaneous items were strewn about. All the room doors were half-open, and an extremely strong stench of blood filled the entire space.

It's worth noting that Susie's parents, as well as almost all the servants, nannies, and cooks in the family, lived on this floor.

After three sounds, the door opened, revealing a horrific scene.

The corpses of a dozen or so zombies were scattered around, all with their heads flattened, as if they had been hit by hard objects.

On the most conspicuous central bed, two corpses were embracing each other: a burly man who was 1.9 meters tall and a petite woman. What they had in common was that each of them had a key stuck in their throat and bite marks on their arms.

"Dad! Mom!"

Upon seeing this, Susie suddenly shouted and rushed toward the two corpses on the bed.

After Susie confirmed that her parents were indeed dead, she knelt down in front of the bed in anguish, covering her face and weeping bitterly.

Xu Xing also sighed deeply. Perhaps he was too late after all. Then he noticed that there was a baseball bat covered in blood on one side of the bed.

Combined with what Susie once said—that her father was a professional boxer in his youth—everything makes sense.

It's estimated that when the zombie outbreak first occurred, Susie's parents were still fast asleep, and they woke up quickly upon hearing the noise.

Within a very short time, all the newly mutated zombies and newly infected humans rushed towards this place.

Whether by fate or sheer exhaustion, the couple were infected when the zombies finally collapsed. To avoid infecting their daughter, they quickly locked the door from the inside and then committed suicide together in each other's arms.

Ye Kai silently left the room, searching for any potential dangers outside.

Xu Xing approached Su Xixi, took out a coat from his spatial storage, and draped it over her shoulders. Su Xixi, who was already on the verge of collapse, suddenly fainted the moment she felt the warmth.

Xu Xing gently picked up Su Xixi and searched for a while before finally finding three more guest rooms on the second floor. He took Su Xixi to one of them and gently covered her with a blanket.

The dog followed behind, and eventually lay down on the floor next to the bed and fell asleep.

Xu Xing then found Ye Kai, who explained that apart from the three of them and a dog, there were no other living creatures left in the entire huge villa.

Then he asked Xu Xing what to do next.

"Let's move all the zombie corpses out first. Don't touch Su Xixi's parents yet; we'll deal with them tomorrow."

"By the way, there's a crystal inside each zombie's head. Those things will be very useful later, so let's collect them first."

After saying that, Xu Xing threw several huge black plastic bags and a set of gas masks to Ye Kai, saying, "You might not be able to stand the smell of those things for long, wearing them will make you feel better."

Xu Xing was already a seasoned veteran of the battlefield, and these scenes and smells had no effect on him whatsoever.

After a long and tiring process, the two finally managed to clean up all the zombie corpses and debris.

Including the crystal cores, a total of 14 were harvested, making a total of 15 when added to the original one.

He tied up the black plastic bags full of things and threw them in a corner of the villa's garden, intending to deal with them later.
