Are you alright?

Ye Lei heard the gunshot and worried that Beanna had been shot.

"I'm fine, I have this!"

Beanna pointed to the table, waved her hand, and said softly.

"Listen up, you people inside! We are the Tomato City Police. You are surrounded. Surrender immediately, or we will storm in!"

Beanna shouted, which was their usual way of doing things: give a warning first.

"Who are you people? Police? No way! It's the apocalypse, where have all the police gone?!"

The man with the gun was completely unfazed by the warnings.

"We are here to take you to the King of Hell to report for duty."

Ye Lei didn't bother to say much to the other party; his words immediately attracted the attention of the man with the gun.

Beanna gestured for him to continue; she needed to move to a different location and choose a suitable shooting position.

"I don't know who the other party is. Where have I offended you?"

"Of course you don't know me."

"If you don't know each other, why go to such lengths to kill each other? It's the end of the world, can't we just be friends?"

"Being friends? That would have been possible, but unfortunately you've done so many bad things. I'm just here to uphold justice and seek redress."

Seeing that the two were having a lively conversation, Beanna prepared to move to another spot.

"I wonder who this friend is seeking justice for?"

The gunman was still somewhat afraid, after all, they had done many bad things, and retribution was only a matter of time.

"Cha Murong, do you still remember her?"

"Oh, you mean that woman? I remember her, she had a fiery temper, which I liked."

"Do you know that she is my woman?"

"I really don't know. I only know that she's some kind of campus belle at Tomato University, right?"

"That's right, she's the school beauty, and she's my woman."

"I'm really sorry, but it was all her own choice. Nobody forced her."

Bena had found the best shooting position; through the gap, she could clearly see the man with the gun.

"You're talking nonsense. If you didn't force her, then what's wrong with her stomach?"

"You mean she's pregnant? Oh, maybe she had too much fun that time!"

"You're a scumbag. What kind of man bullies women?"

"Alright, brother, there are plenty of women out there. Why make such a fuss over a woman?"

Benana raised her left hand, extending three fingers to signal that she was ready to act.

Ye Lei saw it too, and he was ready to control the zombies to rush out at any moment.

"Then I will seek justice for Cha Murong and send you on your way!"

"3, 2, 1!" The moment Beanna finished counting on her three fingers, she fired. "Bang..." A bloody hole appeared on the man's forehead, and he fell to the ground.

"Don't move!"

"Don't move! Anyone who moves will be hit!"

The two men raised their pistols and aimed them at the remaining people, who were already stunned by the sudden gunfire.

Suddenly, one of the people standing behind raised his right hand slightly and moved it towards his waist.

Beanna, a former police officer, saw everything clearly. Did these people have guns? Were they planning to die together?

"shot!"

Beanna yelled and fired at the man. Inspired by her, Ye Lei also fired, "Bang bang bang..."

After a burst of gunfire, everyone who was standing fell to the ground. Ye Lei controlled the zombies and went over to check if anyone was dead, feeding those who weren't.

"handsome!"

Ye Lei was impressed by Beanna's series of beautiful movements and gave her a thumbs up.

"No problem!"

Beanna smiled. Following her professional habits, she immediately went to search the remaining rooms, worried that someone might still be hiding inside. Ye Lei followed behind her.

The door to the first room was ajar. When Beanna pushed it open, she found it filled with food—instant noodles, sausages, beef jerky, chicken legs, and so on.

"No wonder these people didn't run away; they've stockpiled so much food."

Ye Lei took a look and realized that these must have been looted by the gang from the nearby convenience store after the apocalypse broke out.

"Yes, with these supplies, we should be able to survive the apocalypse, right?"

"In that case, I won't stand on ceremony!"

With a wave of his hand, Ye Lei stored all the supplies into his spatial storage.

"Ah! Where did those things go?"

Beanna stared at the emptiness before her, her mouth agape once more.

"I took them all!"

"But where did you take all of them?"

"Do you really want to know?"

"Forget it, you're not an ordinary person anyway."

Beanna gradually settled in and moved on to the next room.

The room was filled with beer, soft drinks, mineral water, and other beverages. As expected, Ye Lei bought them all.

In the last room, there were several large freezers filled with all kinds of fresh ingredients. It was really impressive; they were very well prepared!

Ye Lei smiled. Gathering supplies is becoming increasingly difficult these days. He never expected to gain such a harvest from clearing out the gang's hideout. This trip was truly worthwhile!

When the two came out, the zombies had already cleaned up the battlefield.

Benana looked at the bones scattered on the ground and gagged again.

"Come on, have something to eat!"

As if by magic, Ye Lei produced bread and purified water from his spatial storage and handed them to Beanna.

She didn't hold back either. After a tense and fierce battle, she truly felt that she was hungry. So, like a hungry tiger pouncing on its prey, she chopped open the bread and began to devour it.
