Inside the armory, suppressed groans never ceased, and because the place was spacious, they echoed throughout the armory, creating a reverberation-like sound.

Li Xin'er didn't have to wait long. After another ten minutes or so, the sounds gradually subsided, and the vultures, who had initially looked ferocious, became as calm as if they were asleep.

Now they were 'peaceful', while Carl was inside, frowning and looking ferocious.

The stench was unbearable...

Previously, he and Gavin almost overwhelmed a room with their stench, let alone eight people at the same time!

The eight 'rotten eggs' emitted a nauseating stench at the same time, and Carl felt as if every pore on his body was struggling silently and vomiting.

Carl held his breath and pulled a pair of disposable rubber gloves from Gavin's medical kit.

After putting the masks on, he went up to each person to check if they were still breathing. As long as they were all alive, he could finally relax.

Li Xin'er had been observing the situation inside with her soul power. She knew very well that all eight people had survived, so she wasn't curious at all. The first person she asked was Snow Owl.

"Boss, how are they?"

Carl nodded, his expression relaxing considerably.

"It went very smoothly."

Hearing this, Gavin and his two companions felt reassured and smiled.

Gavin jokingly said to Carl:

"It seems like the inside has become a disaster site."

Recalling the scene at the hotel when Carl and Gavin awakened, both the falcon and the snowy owl looked at Carl with sympathy.

Carl remained silent, ignoring the three of them's gloating, and turned to walk towards Li Xin'er, standing beside her.

"Thanks."

Carl was filled with gratitude for Li Xin'er's repeated acts of kindness in helping them.

Li Xin'er responded calmly.

"Each takes what they need."

"Don't worry, we will absolutely not break our promise."

Carl sincerely gave his assurance.

Li Xin'er didn't care about breaking her promise. If they disobeyed, she could just kill them all. Besides, she was still thinking about the global manhunt game.

"Vulture! Are you trying to bury me?!"

Suddenly, the roar of a hornbill echoed from inside the armory.

Despite the armory's good soundproofing, the people outside were all superhumans, or at the very least, there were those with exceptional hearing like Li Xin'er, who could hear the conversation inside clearly.

The vulture's tone was filled with barely concealed amusement as it reached out and moved the mud covering the hornbill.

Then came the golden eagle's surprised and shocked voice as he pointed to the vines with leaves that had sprouted from the cassowary's hand.

"Hey, cassowary, why are you covered in grass?"

The cassowary, unconvinced, retorted forcefully, showing off its control over the vine, twisting and turning it in its palm like it was dancing.

"You're the one with grass growing on you, I'm a vine!"

The blood pheasant, slumped on the ground, looked bewildered and somewhat frightened at the empty seat beside it.

"No, where are the pigeons? They were just here, and they're gone in the blink of an eye?"

At the armory entrance, Gavin was startled by the pigeons that suddenly appeared beside him, and almost punched them.

Fortunately, the pigeon reacted much faster now and grabbed his wrist in time.

"Grey Magpie, even if you hit me, you're the one who has to heal me."

"A pigeon?! You... Ugh~"

Gavin wanted to ask what was going on here, but before he could finish his sentence, he couldn't hold back.

She covered her mouth and jumped a long way, pointing at the pigeons and shouting disdainfully:

"You! Stay away from me!"

The pigeon's skin was covered in black oil, as if it were covered with a layer of black asphalt.

When it speaks, it reveals a set of very white teeth, which are particularly noticeable, giving it the feel of a vulture.
