Chapter 31 Torrential Rain

Looking at Jiang Xue in front of her, Jiang Yao thought it was a pity. If a man saw her, he might feel sorry for her, but unfortunately, she was facing Jiang Yao.

Jiang Yao raised her eyebrows slightly and stared intently at Jiang Xue. "I do have the medicine."

"But why should I lend it to you!" He finished speaking with a slight upturn of his lips, forming a mocking arc.

Jiang Xue trembled all over, as if she was trying her best to hold back her tears. "Sister, what did I do wrong to make you dislike me so much?" She raised her head, letting the tears slide down her cheeks.

Seeing this charming scene, someone in the crowd spoke up, accusing Jiang Yao of being ruthless, selfish, and vicious.

Jiang Yao retorted, "Since you're all so kind, why don't you lend her the medicine you have?" She then looked at the man who had spoken.

Upon seeing this, the man's wife launched into a tirade against him, saying things like, "Haven't you ever seen a woman before?"

"You soften your heart after shedding a few tears!"

“Your old mother was so hungry she was practically skin and bones, yet she still saved her food for you, and you didn’t even shed a tear of gratitude.”

"You little hussy, a few tears and you're already so soft-hearted. You're really shameless to the core." She reached out and grabbed the man's ear, making him cry out in pain as he walked away.

Jiang Yao watched as Jiang Xue stood frozen in place, a half-smile playing on her lips as she looked at her, wondering how she was going to continue her act.

Seeing that no one was helping her, Jiang Xue's eyes revealed a look of resentment.

"Jiang Yao, I'll trade you supplies, is that alright?"

Seeing that Jiang Xue had already bowed her head and shown weakness, Jiang Yao said, "Fine, five packs of compressed biscuits for one dose of medicine. I won't lose out."
