"What are you afraid of? I'm still here." This was all Shi Yin could promise. As long as she remained, the Flame Dragon Nation would not perish.
Facing the apocalypse, Shi Yin dec...
"It's a pity this isn't the border between the three kingdoms; otherwise, how wonderful it would be if all the scoundrels from those three kingdoms appeared together." Agare got out of the car, a smile on his face, looking utterly captivated, as if he had actually witnessed that scene.
"What inspiration? Get in the car." Shi Yin glared at Agarley, annoyed. "You're too slow."
"Hey, honey, I'm already far from you guys, and I'm not as strong as you, so it's only right that I go slower." Agarai was a little aggrieved, but he still got out of his beat-up little car and reluctantly sat in Shiyin's passenger seat.
As soon as Agareth stepped off the vehicle, without the support of his powers, the car he had just been riding in collapsed with a "bang," its parts and metal fragments scattered all over the ground.
This thing really is a one-time use item!
"Seriously, I'll have to get Helmod to prepare a few more of these accelerators for me later." Agarai was a little worried: "What if they fall apart while I'm flying?"
“Helmod’s calculations are always accurate. You came here just as I was about to fall apart, so you wouldn’t have fallen apart beforehand.” Shi Yin lazily started the car: “Giving you this is useless. If you were to drive my car, it would take two days.”
"Okay, okay, I know you're very strong, please stop talking." Agareth rubbed his temples, a little helpless.
"Wait! You can't abandon us!" A man speaking the Volga language rushed up and pounded on the car window: "We are civilians!"
Other ordinary people reacted and rushed over, surrounding the car.
"That's right, we are civilians, and you are soldiers. Shouldn't you protect us?"
Amidst the despair in everyone's eyes, the iron bars were raised higher and higher.
“I’m sorry, my dear, once you chose to leave Yanlong or Volga, there was no turning back.” Agarai waved to the people outside the iron bars: “Instead of wasting your energy, you might as well go and gather some food now.”
“From the moment you disobeyed orders, you ceased to be citizens of this country.” Shi Yin stated matter-of-factly, “I naturally have no obligation to protect you.”
"Like I said before, if you can understand human language, move aside; if you can't, lie down in front of my car and see if I dare to step on the gas."
The crowd looked at each other, and after a moment of bewilderment, they parted to make way for each other.
They certainly thought Shi Yin dared to step on the gas, since Shi Yin had not only broken Tang Wei's hand, but also shot and killed the person who was morally blackmailing her.
After a brief moment of hesitation, the crowd dispersed. No one dared to gamble; most of them had families, and if they couldn't get back, the people they cared about would truly starve to death.
Although their conscience and minds have been clouded by the struggle for survival, the bonds of family at least prevent them from making unreasonable demands and failing to see the bigger picture.
This allows them to still be considered human beings.
"I thought you were going to just run me over and then do a drift spin," Agarai said, lying in the passenger seat. "I'm still young, and I'm looking forward to a bloody scene."
As Shi Yin finished speaking and rolled up the car window, successfully driving away from the crowd, Agareth's expression showed a hint of regret.
"That will definitely give me more intense emotions, and I might be able to create a grander and more beautiful piece of music."
“Next time I go to Milica on a mission, when I see a crowd surrounding you, I’ll say the same thing.” Shi Yin retorted without hesitation: “On the territory of Yanlong Kingdom, shut your mouth that’s trying to sow discord.”
"I was just saying it offhand. Of course I know you wouldn't do something so useless and unnecessary." Ajalei was both amused and exasperated. "Why does it seem like teasing me is one of your life's greatest pleasures?"
“Most of these people are indeed hot-blooded, or they feel they have enough supplies and are unwilling to risk leaving. Most of them have families with them.” Shi Yin didn’t say anything and changed the subject directly: “If we kill these main forces, none of their families will survive.”
"So you think their family is innocent?" Agareth raised an eyebrow. "You've softened your stance?"
“No, provoking conflict doesn’t necessarily mean escalating it.” Shi Yin glanced at Agarai: “If you keep talking nonsense, get off the bus.”
"Alright, alright, I was just kidding because you were so quiet. It's good to get your voice out once in a while," Agareth said nonchalantly. "I'm here to help you with your mission, so I guess I'll get an extra share when we get back?"
"What do you want?" Shi Yin asked, puzzled. "As far as I know, you don't lack anything right now, do you?"
The resources of the five major countries have now been basically collected. Only the smaller countries have been reduced to the size of tribes and lack resources. Infrastructure cannot be repaired in a day or two. We can't expect Hermod to use his magical powers to repair those infrastructures.
That's such a waste!
Although I've drunk coffee ground by the hands of gods and demons, I don't seem to have much say in this regard.
"Let's add one more Milica to the lunar landing team," Agarai said earnestly, his eyes sparkling.
"Get lost." Shi Yin said decisively: "If you want to add people, just invent your own lunar rocket. You can bring as many as you want."
Agareth was momentarily speechless.
If only those unreliable bastards could invent it! They were so confident they could land on the moon, but now they're saying they're going to the lunar base right away. Everyone's shut up now.
In the end, didn't they rely on the equipment and technology of the Yanlong Kingdom, and then Helmod modified it to successfully go up?
Helmod didn't even bother coming to Milica; he knew exactly what Milica was like, so he went straight to the Flame Dragon Kingdom.
"Don't be like that. I'm just a leader who was temporarily promoted because I'm very strong. I'm not in charge of those things anymore. Don't make fun of me for that." Agareth was speechless.
That's a legacy issue from their history, and he doesn't understand it.
He was just a musician from the previous era.
"Hmph." Shi Yin snorted lightly and ignored him.
The vehicle was moving very fast. Thick clouds and fog, tinged with a faint gray, obscured the sky, creating a gloomy and oppressive atmosphere, with a faint, eerie red glow peeking through.
The closer they got to Black Bat Prison, the more violently the sky churned, until finally, even Agareth could see the red hidden beneath the dark clouds.
"Wow, someone beat you to it." Agarley propped his head up with his hand, watching Shi Yin who was focused on driving, as if enjoying a good show. "So many things are out of your control now, what are you going to do..."
"Creak—"
"ah!"
The SUV suddenly braked hard, and Agare almost hit his head on the windshield, but luckily he reacted quickly and grabbed the handle above his head.
Thank goodness, thank goodness I remembered to fasten my seatbelt, otherwise I would have been thrown out.
"Get out of the car," Shi Yin said coldly.
"Hey, hey, hey! Yin, I was really just joking. I promise I won't say anything like that again." Agarai completely gave up and quickly smiled ingratiatingly, "I was just making a casual joke, I didn't say anything."
"Get out of the car to get the supplies. I'm not eating, so are you?" Shi Yin glanced at Agarai: "If you don't get out, I'm just going to drive off."
