Apocalyptic Natural Disasters: I Have a Capsule House

On the tenth day of the apocalypse, Su Keke was forcibly driven out of her home by her adoptive parents and sister. The reason was to reduce one person's consumption of supplies, even though Su...

Chapter 305: Watching the Heavy Rain and Eating Hot Pot

"Grandma Qiao, let's eat first. Look, the beef in your pot is overcooked! There will always be a way!"

Su Keke is now struggling with the swimming crab in her hand. She peels off the crab shell to reveal the crab roe, and dips it in soy sauce and vinegar. It is so delicious.

Grandma Qiao felt more at ease when she saw Su Keke looked confident.

"Eat quickly! Grandma Qiao! Have a swimming crab too! The meat of this swimming crab is very firm!"

Su Keke picked up a swimming crab that was cooked in her pot and put it into Grandma Qiao's bowl, motioning her to eat it quickly. After eating, they would go to bring warmth to the villagers.

"Okay! I'll eat it right away!"

Grandma Qiao took the swimming crab that Su Keke picked up for her, and fished out the meatballs that were rolling in her pot.

Dip the meatballs in the sauce she prepared herself, and take a bite to enjoy the meaty aroma.

Her mood instantly improved, and with her taste buds aroused, Grandma Qiao now ate faster than Su Keke.

Half an hour later, the two of them had finished all the food on the table. Su Keke helped Grandma Qiao clean up the empty plates while holding her stomach.

"I'm full! Grandma Qiao, let's go out and digest the food!" Su Keke said as she raised her hand and stretched.

"Are you going out to deliver supplies to Aunt Wu and the others? Have you thought of a reason?"

Grandma Qiao was as happy as a child, and kept chasing Su Keke to ask her what reason she found to deliver supplies to the villagers.

"Let's go out first and talk about it later! We'll always be able to think of a suitable excuse when the time comes!"

Su Keke said this and took Grandma Qiao into the space. They both put on raincoats and rain boots.

The capsule house automatically shrinks into the shape of a balloon.

Then I turned on the flight mode. It was still raining heavily outside, but it couldn't block the surveillance camera of the capsule house at all.

Su Keke and Grandma Qiao sat in front of the TV in the living room and saw that the situation at the foot of the mountain was similar to what they saw in the morning. There might be more water because it rained heavily all morning.

Su Keke drove the capsule house around in the morning. There are actually only two villages here, one is on the grassland at the foot of the mountain, and the other is Niujia Village.

Due to the earthquake, other villages followed the government to relocate to other resettlement sites.

Only two small villages deep in the mountains were not affected by the earthquake, but they were also cut off from the government.

Su Keke had roughly detected that there were people in several caves in the morning. Now she and Grandma Qiao planned to go down near the caves and then find a reason to go in to shelter from the rain.

"Hey! Keke! Look! There seems to be someone lying on the road?"

Just as Su Keke was thinking about how to go up the mountain and into the cave, Grandma Qiao saw a person lying on the road on the surveillance screen.

"What? There's someone on the road?"

Su Keke immediately came to her senses. She looked in the direction Grandma Qiao pointed and saw that there was indeed someone lying there.

No! Su Keke looked carefully and saw that there seemed to be more than one person on the road.

She ordered the capsule house to descend quickly and then went closer to take a look.

As the capsule house got closer, Su Keke and Grandma Qiao discovered that there were five or six people lying on the road, some with broken branches weighing them down, and some with half their bodies soaked in muddy water.

Their faces were pale, with extremely distorted expressions, and they looked lifeless.

"They weren't blown here by the strong wind, were they? We came to this road this morning, and there were no such people except branches and stones."

"Apart from the heavy rain this morning, there wasn't as strong a wind as last night! How did these people get soaked in the water?"

Grandma Qiao asked several questions in a row, and Su Keke didn't know where these people came from or why they were lying on the road.

"Granny Qiao, why don't we come out and take a look! If these people are still alive, we can't just stand by and watch them die!"

"Okay! Then let's go out and take a look!"

Grandma Qiao took Su Keke's hand, and the two of them used a bush on the side of the road to get out of the capsule house.

Su Keke and Grandma Qiao hurried over and tried the breathing of those who were soaking in the water.

"Keke! Several of us here are out of breath!"

Grandma Qiao's eyes were red and her voice was choked with sobs.

"There are a few of me here too!"

Su Keke shook her head helplessly at Grandma Qiao. She had just carefully checked the condition of these people and found that their necks seemed to have been broken. If it was caused by the tornado last night, it shouldn't be just the bones in the neck that were broken, right?

"Could these people have been killed deliberately? Who could be so cruel?"

Su Keke's mind suddenly emerged with the images of the Sakura people who went to the grassland to rob.

"Coco! Let's find a place to bury them!"

Grandma Qiao looked around and sighed.

"Okay!" Su Keke responded softly, then took out two shovels and several sets of special protective clothing against acid rain from the space.

Su Keke intended to use these protective suits to wrap the corpses. However, due to limited conditions, she couldn't find anything better in her space.

Su Keke and Grandma Qiao found a vacant space on the road and started digging.

The soil was particularly soft after being soaked by rain, so it didn't take the two of them too much time to dig. Soon they had buried all six bodies.

"Let's go, Grandma Qiao! We still have to deliver supplies to the villagers!"

Su Keke walked over to Grandma Qiao, thought for a moment and continued, "These people look like people from the grassland. When we meet Aunt Wu, do you think we should tell her or Village Chief Wang?"

"Why don't we just not talk about it for now! Let's wait until everything is better!"

Grandma Qiao glanced at the place where the two had buried the person just now and said with red eyes.

"Okay! I thought so too!"

Su Keke was about to pull Grandma Qiao into the capsule house when they suddenly heard a coughing sound in the bushes ahead.

"Grandma Qiao! Did you hear that? Someone seems to be coughing up ahead?"

Su Keke pointed towards the bushes on the other side of the road.

"No! I just heard the sound of rain! Coco, please don't scare me. Your grandma Qiao is very timid in this regard."

Grandma Qiao looked around after hearing what Su Keke said. There was only the sound of heavy rain, but no one was coughing.

"Cough cough!" Su Keke heard the cough again.

"No! I have to go check it out! There must be someone in the bushes ahead!"

Su Keke took a shovel and walked past the bushes with a crunching sound.

"Keke, wait for me! I...I don't dare to stay here alone."

Grandma Qiao held the shovel tightly in her hand and followed Su Keke towards the road.

"Ah... who are you?"

Su Keke had just walked into the bushes when suddenly a hand reached out from the bushes and grabbed her trouser leg, scaring Su Keke so much that she screamed.

"Keke! What's wrong with you? Don't scare grandma!"

Grandma Qiao was frightened by Su Keke's shout and her face turned pale. She rushed over to check what was going on.

“Cough cough! Cough cough cough! Help…help me…”

A weak voice came from the grass at Su Keke's feet.
