In the northern part of Piltover, a dense flow of people is flocking to the top of the entire city-state, which is also where major families and wealthy people live.

There is less than a month left until Piltover's most important annual Evolution Day, but the streets are already decorated with lights and bustling with activity.

According to tradition, most families would take some time out during these days to interview students in the city who have knowledge and skills.

If a student's invention is favored by this family, he will become the target of investment and sponsorship by this family, and will escape poverty and low status and reach the pinnacle of life.

In the waiting room of a luxuriously decorated mansion in the middle of the northern city, a young and somewhat skinny teenager with an Ionian face and dozens of other stunned students of varying ages were looking at everything around them.

The family they were interviewing for today was the wealthy and powerful Hextech family of Giraman in Piltover, and the head of the family, Mrs. Giraman, was also a member of the Supreme Council of Piltover.

The waiting room is very spacious and can accommodate about a hundred people.

The middle-aged man walked over to the bench and tapped the floor twice with his cane, attracting everyone's attention.

The butler pointed to the double doors he had just walked out of.

Compared to the waiting room outside, this room used for interviews is not very big.

The entire room was in a semi-arc shape, with four men and one woman sitting behind a long table directly in front of the door.

They both wore dark brown double-breasted coats with white linings.

One of the couples, who looked to be in their thirties or forties and were dressed elegantly, sat in the middle.

Two elderly men, at least 60 years old, with gray hair and a knowledgeable look, sat on both sides.

Sitting at the very edge was a young man with slicked-back hair and a fresh face. He didn't look very old and seemed strangely familiar.

Hearing the sound of the door, the five people looked at Li Lin in unison, making him feel a little numb.

Li Lin walked to the center of the room. Before he could speak, the young man at the edge holding the gold-plated feather pen asked, "What's your name?"

"Li Lin, this gentleman." Li Lin replied neither humbly nor arrogantly.

The young man lowered his head and wrote something in his notebook. He continued to ask, "What work do you want to show?"

“I named it the Mechanical Watch.”

"watch?"

The middle-aged man with a beard sitting in the middle couldn't help but raise his eyebrows when he heard this strange name. He glanced sideways at the woman next to him, then cleared his throat and asked:
