In the deserted alley, the footsteps of Li Lin and Caitlin echoed in the distance.

"I never thought you could bargain." Caitlin's delicate face was covered with a smile. "I thought you were like Jace, always setting a fixed price no matter how expensive the item is."

"This involves a matter of personal principle," Li Lin responded slowly. "Even if there's financial support, I don't like being taken advantage of."

"I didn't expect you to be so frugal." Caitlin's eyes sparkled. "By the way, are we going back today?"

She shook her head, pointed to the relatively dry mat next to the trash can on the wall, and looked at the closed windows of each house on the high wall.
