Li Lin transmigrated to Piltover on the continent of Valoran. He originally thought his life would pass by uneventfully, until he became an employee of the Kiramman family and discovered he possess...
At dusk, the sun sets in the west.
In a secret room on the top floor of the city-famous Blue Smoke Manor, on the outskirts of Piltover.
Stevan, the head of the Philos family, sat on a chair in the middle of the room opposite the door. A cane made of fine wood and metal springs was placed on a small stand specially added to the edge of the chair.
A hand as thin as dry tree bark pulled over a teacup with two sugar cubes and exquisite patterns on the rustic wooden table, and gently stirred it with the delicate little spoon on the edge of the cup.
Then he placed the spoon on the coaster and pushed the cup across the wooden table, in front of an unoccupied chair.
Less than a minute later, the sound of metal hitting the marble floor was heard in the quiet room, crisp and stinging to the eardrums.
"You're late, sister," Stevan said without looking up, his face lined with deep furrows.
Camille walked straight to the chair across from Stevan and sat down. "I'm meeting with Albert, the head spy of the Albino family, to discuss Miss Sophia Albino's marriage to our family after her coming-of-age ceremony."
She picked up the teacup and took a sip of the tea that had just been brewed, which was at the perfect temperature and sweetness.
"That's not important." Stevan shook his head. "Something happened in Upper Town today that shook the whole city."
"A flying figure from outer space?" Camille glanced up at her brother and chuckled. "I heard the citizens discussing it. Most people think it's a great wizard who happened to be traveling to Piltover."
"But you know, that's not the case at all!"
Stevan's face turned serious, "The family's spies reported that the guy flying in the sky is Li Lin, a craftsman from the Jiraman family.
"He invented a device that allows for solo flight, and it's on the power armor he often wears when he goes out!"
"Well, he's a very good kid. I was very optimistic about him from the beginning," Camille said in a nonchalant tone. "Ever since he was able to upgrade Hex Crystals into Hex Energy Crystals, I knew he had a bright future."
The corners of Stevan's mouth twitched twice, as if he was very dissatisfied with his sister's attitude, "But..."
Before he could finish his words, there were a few soft "bang bang" sounds coming from the tightly closed main door.
Stevan frowned, "Who is it?"
"Great-uncle, it's me, Yabus."
Stevan turned his head and glanced at Camille, "Come in."
With the slight sound of the wooden door, Yabus walked in.
Seeing that there was someone else in the room, he was stunned for a moment, but quickly reacted, "Happy Evolution Day, Great Aunt."
Camille smiled and nodded, setting down her teacup. "Do you have anything to report, child?"
Yabus glanced at Stevan hesitantly, then noticed his eye contact and cleared his throat. "It's about investing in Li Lin, the craftsman of the Jiraman family..."
The blue-green light in Camille's eyes flickered a few times, and she seemed a little confused.
Stevan immediately explained, "We found out that today's 'flying man' took off from the Jiraman residence in the North City. I immediately sent Yabus to inquire about the situation and discuss cooperation."
"Well, it's up to you." Camille didn't seem very interested in this.
Stevan looked at his sister who lowered her head to sip her tea again, and a strange look flashed in his eyes.
Then he turned around and continued to ask for details: "What is the specific situation, Yabusi."
"It wasn't going too smoothly. Li Lin didn't want us to invest in his flying power armor."
"How ridiculous! Has he forgotten who provided the technology for the energy core of his power armor?"
"Calm down, brother. Your body can't handle anger right now," Camille advised helplessly. "Besides, he upgraded the stable energy crystal himself."
Stevan clearly didn't like Camille's flattery of Li Lin, and his voice grew colder. "Hmph! Without our Hextech crystals, how can he create energy crystals?"
"But you agreed to cooperate with Li Lin and allow the Jiraman family to produce energy crystals."
Stevan clenched his fists, but what his sister said was indeed right and he had no way to refute it.
"But I do have a question." Camille turned her gaze to Yabus, "Even with the energy crystals, he can't fly that high in the sky... unless he has hundreds of energy crystals installed all over his body."
"That's what I'm wondering about, too. I was just about to say that," Yabus hesitated. "His armor doesn't look bulky, and there's nowhere on his body to place so many energy crystals..."
At this moment, Stevan said a name that made Camille and Yabus's expressions change slightly: "Hex Core."
"Do you know what you're talking about, brother?" Camille frowned slightly. "The Hextech Core blueprints were destroyed after he left."
"But if Nedry comes back..."
"Hakim Nedry is gone!" Camille blurted out, her tone even more excited than before.
Yabus stood quietly in the middle of the room with his head half lowered, not daring to say a word.
Before he was born, Hakim Nedry was already the best crystallographer of the Ferros family and the chief hextech craftsman, and he served the Ferros family almost all his life.
Yabus had heard from his grandfather that his great-aunt Camille had once had a relationship with Hakim, but this was before she accepted the replacement of the Hextech core.
After personally digging out Camille's heart and replacing it with the Hex Core, Hakim left the Ferros family. No one knew where he went...
