Li Lin transmigrated to Piltover on the continent of Valoran. He originally thought his life would pass by uneventfully, until he became an employee of the Kiramman family and discovered he possess...
The matter of the sewer is not a big deal, but it is not a small matter either.
Li Lin still knew what the workers were talking about.
The wise Malphite came to Zaun, which was an event that also happened in the original world line.
Malphite, the molten behemoth, is the sole uncorrupted fragment of the monolith created by Horok the Ascended of Ixtal, which was corrupted by the Void and crashed.
It usually lives on the border between Ixtal and Icathia, cutting off the "vines" that extend from the underground void through the earth's crust and extending to the entire Runeterra, swallowing them into its body and then crushing them.
Occasionally, it goes somewhere else.
Some nomadic peoples in the Shurima Desert have passed down its legend, and the Solari Cult of Mount Targon also has records of the appearance of lava monsters.
And just like what happened today.
Li Lin quickly returned home, put on his armor, and flew towards the mine reported by the intelligent computer.
In just a few minutes, he landed on the other side of the ditch and unfolded his mask.
Given the current environment in Zaun, coupled with the large air filtration device he equipped and Janna's wind purification, the air in the sewer is still a little polluted, but it is already fresher than the air in the alley a year ago.
Li Lin bought this mine from Adrian. It was originally used to collect Hextech ore, which is the essential material for the synthesis of Hextech energy crystals.
Some time ago, a professional prospector hired by Li Lin suddenly discovered traces of oil here and immediately sent him a message to explain the matter.
Now, all the procedures for the acquisition of the Adrian Mine have been reported to the Piltover Law Enforcement Office and are ready. Li Lin has also handed over the Golden Sea to him.
The mine where oil was discovered has become Li Lin's asset.
Under the floodlights outside the mine, dozens of workers with dusty faces gathered in groups of three or four and sat on the ground, surrounded by Hex drills, pneumatic drafts, several power armors for carrying heavy objects, and piles of Hex time bombs specifically used for mining.
They were discussing something among themselves, and everyone had his own opinion about the "monster" in the mine.
On the other side, dozens of mechanical engineers stood neatly and quietly in a corner of the fence.
Li Lin has equipped each mine under his name with intelligent robots to relieve the stress of miners or deal with emergencies.
As soon as they saw Li Lin landing in armor, the female foreman, whose clothes were obviously different from those of others and whose limbs had been transformed into alchemical technology prostheses, came up to him with a smile on her face.
Her name is Hewlett, an Ionian, about forty years old. Like Li Lin, she came to Zaun to escape the war, and it has been five years now.
Because of her outstanding abilities, she was selected by Baron Adrian three years ago and was sent to this mine as a foreman.
Because of her accent, Li Lin could hardly understand the common language of the Twin Cities spoken by Hewlett, so he simply asked her to speak Ionian to him.
Even so, Li Lin had to concentrate and guess to barely translate the general meaning of her strange dialect from the Kashuli Plateau in Zhiyun Province.
"Mr. Li Lin!" Hewlett called out his new boss's name affectionately, "You're finally here!"
Compared to Adrian, who "eats people without leaving any bones" and likes to exploit workers, Li Lin not only gives them the eight-hour working system treatment of workers in the city, increases their wages and work injury compensation, and even pays overtime pay for overtime work.
This was something Hewlett had never dared to imagine before. Including the workers, their work enthusiasm and their feelings towards Li Lin and the Gilaman family were elevated to more than one level.
Li Lin silently translated Hewlett's strange dialect into words that could be understood by a normal person, and then asked, "What's going on?"
"A stone, a strange stone, so big!"
Hewlett opened his arms wide and gestured to Li Lin.
"It wasn't there this afternoon. When the workers finished their meal and were about to start overtime, the mine suddenly shook. We thought a mine disaster was about to happen, so we immediately ran out under the cover of the mechanics.
"But we waited here for over half an hour, and there was no movement inside again. A mechanic went in to investigate the situation and said that the deepest vein was blocked by a strange boulder that appeared inexplicably.
"After that, we waited another half an hour and found a gold detector. Then she and I followed a few strong workers and went in to check the situation under the protection of mechanical engineers. We found that the stone was actually moving!"
The more Hewlett spoke, the more he gesticulated and his facial expressions became more exaggerated. He is truly an Oscar-worthy actor.
Li Lin's eyes swept across the faces of the workers who were staring at him with smiles on their faces, and finally stopped at a woman whose dress was obviously different from that of the workers, and who looked a bit like a technician.
Noticing Li Lin's gaze, Hewlett immediately explained, "It's a woman named Shulai. She's an excellent gold tester and stone appraiser..."
As she was speaking, the woman with a gentle temperament and a dark complexion walked straight towards Li Lin.
"I presume you are Mr. Li Lin of Jiramann?" Shulai chuckled and held out his right hand. "May the winds of change help you move forward... That's probably a popular saying these days, right?"
"May the winds of change carry you forward." Li Lin smiled, unfolding the armor in his right hand and gently shaking her hand. "It fits the current trend, doesn't it?"
Shulai was obviously aware of the rumors about Li Lin in recent months. "Your wisdom."
She paused briefly, then immediately returned to the point: "As soon as I received the news from Foreman Hewlett, I rushed here immediately."
