Arcane: I Built Mechs in Piltover

Li Lin transmigrated to Piltover on the continent of Valoran. He originally thought his life would pass by uneventfully, until he became an employee of the Kiramman family and discovered he possess...

Chapter 70: Guide Huck

Huck's house is in the lower half of the middle square, adjacent to the upper level of the lower ditch.

The haze pollution there is much more serious than in the Black Alley, and there are occasional accidents such as alchemical gas leaks or facility explosions. It is not a suitable place to live.

Perhaps because he was born in a ditch, Huck does not have very high requirements for his family's living environment. He just wants a cheap and livable one.

On the way to Huck's house, Baobao was picked up by Li Lin and sat in his arms.

Craig and Milo followed closely beside him, facing the shocked and envious looks of the other Zaun children, with their heads held high and chests puffed out, with boasting and pride in their eyes.

Wei Ze had a sullen look on his face and led the way in silence.

During this time, even though Baobao called her several times, she just responded perfunctorily.

However, Bomb, Craig, and Milo were all focused on their power armor and didn't pay much attention to Wei's abnormal condition.

But Li Lin's mental age has long been an adult, and his mind is very mature, so he can naturally notice her abnormality.

Wei seems to have a grudge against me because I am from the upper city?

But he didn't take it too seriously.

With his intervention, Vandel, the guardian of the two sisters, was not taken away for transformation last time, and it is impossible for him to become a "Zuan Angry Beast" in the future.

By extension, it is highly likely that Baobao will not turn into Jinx, and the two sisters will not turn against each other.

In this case, Wei is also likely to no longer be Caitlyn's partner...

The butterfly's wings are fluttering.

Just because of Li Lin's small intervention, the fate of the four heroes changed significantly.

This doesn't even include Jayce, Viktor, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Orianna, and Camille, who have come into contact with him...

The gears of fate of Piltover and Zaun are turning, and the future of the two city-states is moving towards an unknown direction.

Li Lin doesn't know whether this future will be good or bad, but he will try his best to make it better.

After all, his sights were not limited to the Twin Cities, but the entire Runeland.

The Twin Cities is his starting point and, to some extent, his “home base.”

If he can't even manage the two cities that are the easiest to start with in the entire Runeterra, how can he face the world crisis in the future?

Just as his thoughts were in a mess, Wei in front of him stopped and said, "We're here."

They are currently standing on the side of a bridge frame that is about 10 meters above the ground and is built by melting scrap metal into one piece.

The bridge is very narrow, barely allowing two people to walk side by side.

Some of the rotten metal handrails were covered with a layer of green, unknown moss, which looked like they were grown under the catalysis of the alchemical gas emitted by several alchemical technology workshops on the ground.

On the other side, a small cylindrical house covered with dark green moss was reflected in Li Lin's eyes, somewhat similar to the metal water towers placed on the tops of most buildings in Piltover.

"Because of the alchemy workshop downstairs, the rent here is very cheap."

Wei casually introduced the situation here, then nodded to signal Li Lin and others to follow him.

But when Li Lin just stepped onto the bridge, under the pressure of the combined weight of him, the power armor and Baobao, the bridge made a harsh metallic creaking sound, which made him feel a little uneasy.

Will this bridge collapse halfway through my crossing?

Li Lin subconsciously turned his head slightly and looked down.

It's more than ten meters high below...

After thinking about it, he put Baobao down and retreated to the other side.

"My armor is too heavy. I'm afraid the bridge won't hold up. I'll wait for you here."

Li Lin shouted to Wei, who had already walked to the middle of the bridge and stopped to look back at him.

Wei responded calmly, "It's up to you."

She called for Craig and Milo to follow, while Baku stayed with Li Lin.

Anyway, they have to come back later, and Craig has almost blocked the road. It’s pointless to go there by himself, so it’s better to stay with Li Lin.

With this mentality, Baobao opened his arms again and let Li Lin hug him again.

At Huck's doorstep, Wei seemed to notice that her sister, who always liked to stick to her, did not follow her, and she glanced back as if nothing had happened.

Unfortunately, Craig's large build blocked his view.

"Craig, you should lose weight," she complained unhappily.

Amidst Craig's bewildered expression and Milo's snickering, Wei knocked on the abandoned explosion-proof door in front of her that had been removed from somewhere and installed there.

"Who, who is it..." A somewhat sharp male voice came from the room.

"It's me, Wei."

There was silence in the room for a moment.

Then, with a sharp "squeaking" sound of metal friction, the metal door slowly opened.

A thin middle-aged man wearing glasses and with a ponytail, but with a hairline comparable to that of a programmer, half of his body appeared from behind the door.

"Wei, hey, hey, why are you here?"

Huck has a strange habit of making a few "hehe" sounds when he speaks, which gives people the impression of being a materialist.

This was a habit he developed when he was bullied for being born thin, and tried hard to please others in order to avoid being beaten.

"What do you want from me, Vandel? Hehe..."

"Li Lin, you should know him, right?"

Wei didn't pay much attention to Huck's strange habit of speaking and gestured back with a thumbs up, but Huck could only see Craig.

"Li Lin..." He pondered for a moment, then suddenly realized, "Hehehe, of course, the guy wearing the steel armor at the Vandel Tavern a few days ago, hehe, I was there too."
