I inexplicably transmigrated and became a giant dragon, and I'm currently being hunted for kidnapping a princess.
Until Su Qing discovered that he could gain equivalent power by accumulat...
Having found the person she was looking for, Su Qing did not immediately look away, but instead searched the city again.
They immediately locked onto the four terrifying figures in the city lord's mansion.
The four brilliances, relying solely on far-sighted observation, make it difficult to judge their specific level of achievement.
However, with so many powerful individuals gathered here, it seems that something extraordinary is about to happen.
Touching her chin, Su Qing looked at Chris and suddenly smiled.
Chris jumped, looking at him warily: "What are you doing?"
Inside the city, within the city lord's mansion, four terrifying beings gathered.
A variety of eyes sparkled, clearly showing interest in what the young man had just said, but still some hesitation remained.
"If you really discovered the ruins of a powerful kingdom on this land thousands of years ago, why didn't you keep them for yourself? Instead, you invited us here. It's hard for the three of us to believe you!"
Of the other three, one was a skeleton draped in a tattered black robe, with eerie blue flames flickering in his eye sockets.
This is a skeleton mage who has reached the Glorious stage, becoming a distinct race. They are proficient in dark magic and have some knowledge of the extinct necromancy.
He is the leader of the Skull and Bones Society, one of the major powers surrounding Blazing City.
Like the other two, he had received an invitation from the young city lord and was very interested in the ruins mentioned in the letter, which is why he came in person.
Upon hearing his question, the young man shook his head with a wry smile, looking utterly helpless: "The Skeleton Leader has misunderstood me. If I could have taken it all for myself, I wouldn't have invited the three of you. In fact, it's not that I didn't want to, but that I couldn't."
"That ruin is protected by a very powerful array. Based on observation, it should be a four-element magic array. To break it, we must find four people whose attributes are the same as the array's, which is why we found three!"
These words brought a slight sense of relief to those people.
If the other party doesn't give them an explanation, they really won't dare to confidently go with them to explore the ruins.
However, someone had a strange expression. It was a bird-man with wings on his back, the wings were light blue, and his tone was somewhat playful: "If I remember correctly, you have already joined the Purple Fire Mercenary Group. With such a good thing, why don't you find the experts in your mercenary group?"
"Lord Shuiyu, please don't joke around. If this gets out, how can I possibly have a share of this ruin?"
The young city lord smiled slightly.
"Stop talking nonsense, where is that ruin? When do we set off?"
A dwarf was flailing his hammer impatiently, clearly eager to get started.
"I need to prepare some things. I can leave tomorrow, but before that, I hope you can sign this document with me!"
The young city lord spoke, then produced several contracts.
The contract is simple: after opening the ruins, we will explore together. Of the treasures we find, the young city lord can choose one first, and the rest will be divided equally among everyone.
It was a simple, fair contract. The three looked at each other, had no questions, and signed it readily.
Su Qing and Chris were lying on a cloud of white mist that was floating above the city lord's mansion. Su Qing used some minor magic to eavesdrop on the conversation inside.
I couldn't hear it clearly, but I could guess most of the content.
Ruins, departing tomorrow, contract!
These three keywords make it easy to guess their intentions.
Su Qing controlled the white mist to quietly rise into the air, flying very slowly, so it did not attract anyone's attention.
Once they were high in the sky, Su Qing looked at Chris and said, "After they leave tomorrow, we'll split into two groups. I'll go with them, and you find a way to rescue that old city lord."
Without this new city lord, there aren't many people in this city who can stop you.
Su Qing spoke very seriously, and after a brief consideration, Chris readily agreed.
He felt that if he disagreed, the dragon would definitely make him follow these guys.
Su Qing told Chris roughly where the old city lord was imprisoned, and then instructed him to be careful.
He then left, wanting to keep an eye on the young city lord and see what he planned to do for tomorrow.
After observing for half a day, I didn't find anything significant. I simply purchased some magical materials.
That makes sense. If there really was any need for preparation, it would probably have been done long ago.
However, Su Qing still had some doubts. Among the four people, only the young city lord's aura was the weakest, probably only at the first or second level of the Brilliant Realm, while the others were at least at the third or fourth level of the Brilliant Realm.
This young city lord doesn't seem to be out of his mind to conspire with these three guys for personal gain; he must have some preparations and backup plans.
Seeing that the other party had prepared his things and seemed to be preparing to return to the city lord's mansion, but halfway there, he suddenly flashed and entered a small alley.
This surprised Su Qing, because the alley led to a place underground where the old city lord was imprisoned.
The young city lord was very cautious, worried that if he was imprisoned in the city lord's mansion, others would find him and release the old city lord.
So he was specially locked up in the underground courtyard of a place that had little to do with the city lord's mansion, and some mysterious magic arrays were set up there.
If it weren't for Su Qing's all-seeing eyes, it would have been difficult to discover the anomaly here.
They watched as the other person walked into the courtyard and went underground.
An old man was suspended, his clothes were relatively clean, so he probably hadn't suffered any humiliation, but chains tightly bound his limbs and head, and his fighting spirit was completely sealed.
