I inexplicably transmigrated and became a giant dragon, and I'm currently being hunted for kidnapping a princess.
Until Su Qing discovered that he could gain equivalent power by accumulat...
Inside the study, the two marquises had been waiting for quite some time.
Although they remained calmly seated, a hint of anxiety was evident in their expressions.
Just as the two of them were about to lose their composure, the door opened and the well-dressed Earl Mego strolled in.
Upon seeing the two anxious-looking individuals, he revealed a knowing smile.
"I just returned from an outing with my daughter. I apologize for neglecting you two marquises!"
The two men were immediately enraged when they saw that Earl Mego remained unhurried.
"You old codger, how can you still be in the mood for a spring outing? That old hag..."
As one of the marquises was speaking, he suddenly became wary, glancing at several of Earl Mego's confidants behind him and asking: Are they reliable?
Count Mego smiled faintly: "They are all my trusted confidants, of course they are reliable!"
Although he said that, he still ordered the men to leave.
With the door closing, only three people remained in the study.
At this moment, the two marquises no longer concealed anything, appearing hurried and flustered, not at all like noble gentlemen.
"What time is it already? How can you still be in the mood for a spring outing?"
There are ten marquises and earls in the Duchy of Renault, and seven of them have already sided with that old hag, leaving only the three of them who have not yet made up their minds.
But at this very moment, their last shred of faith is about to be extinguished.
Some time ago, His Highness Prince Mino returned, bringing with him an army of two thousand and two high knights.
They were all convinced they could reclaim the throne and kill the old hag, but to their surprise, the old hag produced a magic mirror that petrified everyone.
They captured Prince Mino and ordered that two strong men be sent to the palace every day to sacrifice to the magic mirror.
That old hag has gone completely mad; she must be killed quickly, or the entire Duchy of Renault will be doomed sooner or later.
It wasn't that they were unwilling to side with that old witch, but they were all wary. They knew that with her crazy ways, it couldn't last long, and they needed to plan for the future.
So the three of them began to devise a plan to eliminate the old witch.
The two of them came here to discuss the formulation and implementation of the plan with Count Mego, the most cunning of the three.
"Don't worry, you two, I have a new idea about dealing with that old hag!"
Count Mego revealed a somewhat inscrutable expression, gesturing for the other two to lean in and whisper among themselves.
He met the somewhat skeptical gazes of the other two: "Is your plan feasible?"
Count Mego smiled faintly: "It's just a try. Anyway, the timing is just right now. There's no harm in trying it out for us."
The other two nodded in agreement: "However, we shouldn't abandon our original plan."
The three then began to discuss some details.
Meanwhile, Su Qing was taken back to her room by a girl named Nai Nai.
"May I have your name?"
The girl teased the little animal she had picked up with great interest.
Su Qing pondered whether she should answer, in order to appear polite, but would that frighten the girl and make her cry?
"Woof woof woof!"
Suddenly, a dog barked outside the door, its bark clearly indicating excitement and elation.
The girl seemed to remember something, and a joyful smile appeared on her face: "Wait a moment, let me introduce you to a friend."
As she spoke, she quickly got out of bed and opened the door.
A snow-white dog rushed in, jumped into the girl's arms, and frolicked excitedly.
The girl giggled, teased the dog in her arms, and then brought it to Su Qing.
"Let me introduce you two. This is Xiaobai, and this is Xiaohei. You should be good friends!"
Su Qing looked at the silly dog with its tongue lolling out and a goofy expression, and was speechless.
What left him speechless was that the girl picked up the little white dog and lowered her voice, but he could still hear her say, "Little Black has some mental issues, you can't bully him!"
The little white dog barked in response, but it was unclear whether it understood.
But the girl clearly felt that the little white dog understood and agreed, and became even happier: "You two play by yourselves, don't fight, I'll go find you some food."
After saying that, she skipped and hopped out of the room.
Su Qing ignored it and continued to lie on the bed. If he hadn't felt that staying here would be beneficial for the upcoming operation, he would have run away long ago.
On the contrary, the little white dog, from the moment its owner left, disappeared from its silly and foolish appearance and became somewhat fierce, barking wildly at Su Qing.
Although he couldn't understand it, the meaning was clear: this guy was angry that Su Qing had taken away half of his master's affection and wanted Su Qing to leave on her own.
Su Qing didn't want to pay attention to a dog, but the dog kept chattering in his ear, which made him unable to tolerate it any longer.
The little white dog, seeing that the dark creature didn't react at all, thought it was easy to bully and went forward even further.
But as soon as they got a little closer, Su Qing pinned the little white dog down with one paw, and her other fist rained down on the dog, making it howl in pain.
Footsteps came from outside the door, suddenly becoming hurried.
Su Qing immediately stopped what she was doing, pried open the dog's mouth, and put it directly on her own head.
The door was opened, and the girl who saw this scene almost exploded with anger: "Xiaobai, how could you bully Xiaohei like this!"
The girl was furious and threw the pitiful little white dog away.
Seeing this scene, Su Qing felt sorry for the little white dog.
