New book: I Transmigrated to a World with a Wife, a Story About Finding a Wife.
Cultivation does not die, great evils do not stop. The cultivation created by the Heavenly Dao to maintain the ...
But the wild dog, completely disregarding the stone axe that was about to strike, barked loudly, "Woof!"
The muscular male player froze as if petrified, only to have the wild dog leap up and bite his throat.
It looks like I'm about to be resurrected.
This dog has skills!
Experienced players can tell at a glance that the barking sound is definitely a monster skill!
It might unleash a special skill!
Taking advantage of the moment when the wild dog pounced on his teammate, the players around the burly player hacked the wild dog to death with axes.
The hydra, with blood gushing from one thigh, shouted out its current condition: "After being bitten by this wild dog, I was given a rabies debuff [weakened state], increasing strength by 20%, decreasing agility by 10%, fearing water, and will die in ten days."
"Damn, that's hardcore, the real state of rabies!" Justice Enforcer exclaimed from the side.
For players, this debuff isn't a big deal, since they can revive anyway, and a 20% increase in strength is still a pretty good buff.
After hastily bandaging his wounds, Hydra gathered the players together.
"There are two options now. One is to clean up the water source and fight monsters. Although we can't see how many experience points are needed to reach the level standard, as long as we fight monsters, leveling up is only a matter of time."
"One option is to continue exploring, and then return to the water source once the food is used up..."
Hydra was interrupted by a sudden loud noise before he could finish speaking.
A stray dog flew through the air, crashing through several trees before landing at a player's feet.
A cacophony of barking dogs and the whooshing of wind erupted nearby!
It looks like a pack of wild dogs is fighting something!
The players immediately realized the origin of the wind and the dead wild dogs, because the sounds of fighting were getting closer and closer to them!
boom!
Accompanied by the sound of wild dogs flying through the air and crashing into trees, a man covered in blood appeared before the players.
The man looked to be only 20 years old, dressed in a black outfit. Although he had a roguish look on his face, his short, choppy black hair made him look very energetic.
The man's hands and feet were covered in bite marks from wild dogs, and he appeared to have lost a lot of blood.
Most of the blood on his body came from wild dogs.
Despite being injured, the guy still had a relaxed smile on his face, as if he wasn't the one who was hurt.
What a tough guy!
All the players present looked at the man and felt that there seemed to be a faint red glow behind his head.
Behind the man, there were many dead stray dogs lying haphazardly, at least thirty or forty at first glance!
One person took down so many wild dogs!
The two stray dogs kept the players busy and flustered!
Despite the large number of strangers in front of him, the roguish man showed no fear. He walked to the pond, turned his back to the players, and began to clean his wounds and leg injuries.
"How did you mortals end up in this Rabid Dog Forest? How did you get in?"
While cleaning his wounds, the roguish man asked the players a question with his back to them.
The players exchanged glances, saying, "We're mortals, and this guy's an NPC?"
"Huh? I'm asking you a question! Are you all mute?!"
The roguish man was extremely arrogant, seemingly unconcerned about the large number of players.
Upon hearing his words, several players frowned.
This NPC is pretty awesome!
Hydra, being more experienced in the game, stepped forward and said, "We are villagers from the nearby Longevity Village, and we've come out to chop firewood."
Hydra kept the mission of secrecy firmly in mind, fearing that some players might not think things through, so he answered first.
"Longevity Village? I've never heard of it." The roguish man frowned, thought for a moment, then shook his head and gave up.
"Alright, hey, your chance has come. Send a few men to clean up these rabid dogs' corpses and take them to Yanji City. I'll reward you with a few copper coins then."
As the man spoke, the players received their quests.
"You have received a quest for a serendipitous encounter."
"Adventure Quest: Laborer"
"Mission Description: The people of Yanji City want you to help them move some things."
"Task reward: Copper coins."
Such an arrogant NPC makes me reluctant to accept this quest!
However, the players still collected the fallen rabid dogs and put them into a bag woven from vines.
It's just a quest, why get angry with the NPCs?
As the players moved around dressed as stray dogs, the roguish young man spotted Wang Ergouzi in the crowd.
"Also, you guys, beat that dog to death. I find it annoying."
The hot-tempered young man pointed at Wang Ergouzi in the crowd and said arrogantly.
"I'm sorry, that dog is ours, we've had it for a long time, and we really can't bear to kill it."
The Hydra standing next to the roguish young man answered with a forced smile.
You can't just kill your teammates because of something an NPC says!
"Hahaha! You actually got a fancy from an NPC! Hahaha!"
Justice Executioner and the other players around Wang Ergouzi laughed until tears streamed down their faces.
NPCs are discriminating against dogs!
"Damn it, what did I do to deserve this?! I'm just a cute little animal! You piece of shit!"
Wang Ergouzi, who was caught in the crossfire even while lying down, was extremely unhappy.
Because his view was blocked by other players, the cocky young man didn't notice that Wang Ergouzi had spoken; he assumed it was another player.
