After transmigrating to a Xianxia world, he lived a fulfilling life for five hundred years.
He established a sect and became an Immortal.
He fought against the Great Sage of the demon r...
Concealing his presence, Wu Er looked at the Chaoran Sect.
That old guy in the tower bullied his junior brother, so they had to get revenge.
It's not advisable for immortals to clash directly; it's better to start the retaliation from the other high-ranking members of the Transcendent Sect.
This is called "an eye for an eye," or "reciprocity," or whatever the principle is.
First, I'll get a proper identity and then figure out how to take revenge once I'm inside the Chaoran Sect.
Perhaps these disciples of the Heavenly Realm have become addicted, Wu Er thought of stripping a junior disciple of the Transcendent Sect of his clothes and then sneaking in to have some fun under the guise of a disciple.
The Chaoran Sect is quite different from the Pengshan Sect. The Pengshan Sect is very strict about identity, but the Chaoran Sect doesn't have as many rules.
After circling around the outskirts of the Chaoran Sect, Wu Er spotted his target.
A lone disciple of the Transcendent Sect!
What else can I say?
Wu Er naturally knocked the disciple unconscious with a brick, and then stripped him naked; he was very skilled at this process.
I must have done this quite a few times before.
With practiced ease, she put on her clothes, concealed her presence, and changed her appearance.
Faced with the lax vetting practices of the Chaoran Sect, Wu Er managed to sneak in simply by wearing a change of clothes.
The monk guarding the gate was just standing there, yawning constantly in a half-asleep state, completely ignoring the people who entered.
It wasn't just this one cultivator who neglected his duties; all the gatekeepers of various sects were like this.
They've been arrogant for too long, acting like they're the only ones who matter.
Okay, it's not that exaggerated.
In short, they look down on others and believe that other sects don't care if they infiltrate their own sect with spies.
Wu Er also wanted to use eight words to describe the state of the Chaoran Sect: "Golden exterior, rotten interior."
If it weren't for the immortals supporting it, such a bloated and corrupt sect would have fallen apart long ago.
Having successfully infiltrated the Chaoran Sect, Wu Er didn't rush to make a move, but instead strolled around for a while.
Although these major sects have been living in comfort for too long and their members have lost their fighting spirit, it's still good to take a look and learn something about them as potential enemies.
Because of the unique structure of Pengshan Gate and its overly avant-garde development, Chaoran Sect is quite different from Pengshan Gate.
The concept of hierarchy in the Chaoran Sect is much better than that in the Pengshan Sect.
Along the way, many disciples bowed and greeted Wu Er.
Wu Er looked down at his clothes. Although they were disciple attire, they were much more luxurious than those around him.
Although his status might be slightly higher than that of ordinary disciples, it wasn't by much. Just look at how these people bowed to him as if they were seeing their own father.
With clear hierarchies and strict rules, this is the true nature of the cultivation world.
However, Wu Er wasn't interested in that. He wanted to see if anything major had happened to the Chaoran Sect recently, and he wanted to ruin all of the Chaoran Sect's happy occasions.
After a leisurely stroll, Wu Er arrived at the market area for outer disciples.
It's called a market, but it's really just a street market. There are no shops or tall buildings; it's just a group of people setting up stalls along the main road to make money.
Even though it was so simple, there were still quite a few people in the market. I suppose the disciples of low status couldn't go to the better markets inside the sect.
As Wu Er entered the market, everyone around him cast strange glances at him.
Perhaps they saw the clothes and wondered why someone of such status would come to such a humble market.
"Tsk..." Wu Er said after wandering around for a while, "There's no useful information here either."
As expected, the market town for outer disciples is just like a slum.
After going around in circles, I found that everything they sold was junk, and the people here were incredibly isolated and knew nothing.
We still need to go to more upscale places.
Wu Er thought that with this set of clothes he had borrowed from a friend, he should be able to go to a better market.
Because the entire Chaoran Sect was built on a high mountain, it was divided into several areas, each corresponding to different people.
The higher the place, the higher the status of the people living there, and the mountaintop is the abode of immortals.
With Wu Er's clothes, he could probably reach a position between the foot and the middle of the mountain. Although it was higher than where ordinary disciples could go, it wasn't much higher.
They are all disciples; no matter how high their status, it can't be much higher.
In other words, it's the difference between the lowest class and the common people. To put it bluntly, they're both at the bottom of society, so naturally they can't get any information.
"These clothes won't do. We need to get a more expensive and better set."
If you can't get to a high place, then you'll have to get a set of high-rise clothes to blend in.
In fact, Wu Er could have easily concealed himself and walked in. With his cultivation level, unless the old guy living on the mountaintop personally intervened, no one would have been able to see him.
But Wu Er simply wouldn't do that. If he did, life would be much less fun. Once you've reached a higher level of cultivation, you have to find your own enjoyment, otherwise everything around you will become dull and tasteless.
Besides, isn't this to avenge my fourth junior brother? Knocking out a few high-ranking members of the Chaoran Sect is a good thing.
Where can one find the higher-ups of the Chaoran Sect if this disciple is staying?
Just as Wu Er was worrying, he suddenly heard a sound.
"Give me money? I'm doing you a favor by coming here, and you dare to mention money?"
A vendor on the side had a bitter expression on his face, looking at the person in front of him with resentment but daring not to speak out.
This is a person dressed in fine clothes, at least compared to those around him. He seems to be of high status, certainly not someone at the disciple level.
"Sir, my little business..."
"Heh, shut up."
The man was called a guard, but since the titles varied from sect to sect, Wu Er didn't know exactly what rank he was.
