Chapter 12 You Don't Live Here
Yun Zheng watched his actions and felt a slight movement in her heart. She slowly stretched out her feet and put on the slippers. The size was just right, and the soft touch gave her tired feet some relaxation.
She lowered her eyes to look into the man's dark eyes and said softly, "Thank you."
Fu Linghe stood up, with a faint smile on his lips, and took her into the house.
"This is where I usually stay. Take a good look at it. If you think it's okay with you, we can live here after we get married. This will be our wedding house for now. If you don't like it, I can take you to see somewhere else."
Fu Linghe's tone was casual but heartwarming. "Just tell me if you need anything. If I'm not here, you can tell Butler Feng directly."
Fu Linghe didn't hear Yun Zheng's reply for a long time, so he stopped and looked back at her.
She nodded slightly and said, "This place is great. You can just live here. There's no need to bother looking for other places."
A hint of barely perceptible joy flashed across Fu Linghe's eyes. "That's good. I was worried you wouldn't like it."
The two continued walking forward, one in front and one behind, and entered the living room.
The living room is spacious and bright, and the huge floor-to-ceiling windows allow sunlight to pour in, illuminating the entire space.
Yun Zheng originally thought that Fu Linghe's house should be as luxurious and dull as a model room, but she didn't expect that the interior decoration of the house was full of warmth and style.
The arrangement of the furniture seems random but just right, the soft colors complement each other, and the overall decoration style of the room is simple and luxurious.
It is no exaggeration to say that this is the home Yun Zheng wanted.
She sat down on the sofa somewhat awkwardly, looking up at the furnishings around her curiously.
Fu Linghe's figure suddenly entered her sight, and her eyes were involuntarily glued to the man.
He walked into the kitchen and soon came out with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.
Fu Linghe walked towards Yun Zheng with steady steps. The orange juice swayed gently in the transparent glass, reflecting an attractive luster.
He stopped in front of Yun Zheng, leaned over slightly, and handed the cup to her. A gentle smile like spring breeze hung on the corner of his mouth, and his deep voice was even more alluring. "Have a glass of orange juice first, freshly squeezed."
Yun Zheng raised her eyes and met his. A blush appeared on her face. She reached out to take the cup in a panic. Her fingertips accidentally touched Fu Linghe's fingers, and an electric current instantly spread throughout her body.
She lowered her eyes to hide her inner panic and whispered, "Thank you."
Fu Linghe looked at her shy appearance, and an idea came to his mind. He sat down next to her, deliberately keeping a little distance so as not to make her feel uncomfortable.
"This is your home from now on. Do whatever you want." His voice was low and gentle. "And I'm not some man-eating wolf or tiger. You don't have to be so reserved in front of me."
Yun Zheng took a sip of orange juice, and the sweet and sour taste spread in her mouth, making her nervous mood relax a little.
She nodded slightly as a response to Fu Linghe.
"Your room is upstairs. Do you need me to take you to see it?" Fu Linghe asked softly, with a hint of expectation in his deep black eyes.
Yun Zheng took another sip of the orange juice before putting the cup down. "Okay, thank you, Mr. Fu."
Hearing Yun Zheng's way of addressing him, Fu Linghe felt somewhat uncomfortable, but it was still not too late to change the address later.
Fu Linghe stood up, the smile on his lips still there, "Come with me."
He walked in front, neither fast nor slow, and from time to time he turned his head to look at Yun Zheng who was following behind him to make sure she could keep up.
The corridor on the second floor is covered with carpet, which is soft and comfortable to walk on.
The two of them came to the door of the room one after the other. Fu Linghe gently pushed the door open and stepped aside to let Yun Zheng go in first. "Take a look. If you are not satisfied with anything, just tell me."
When Yun Zheng walked into the room, the first thing that caught her eye was a king-size bed with a light pink cushion against the headboard. The bedding on the bed looked soft and comfortable, embroidered with delicate patterns, and matched with several pillows in the same color.
On the other side of the room is a large floor-to-ceiling window. The white curtains flutter gently in the wind, and sunlight shines through the gauze curtains onto the ground, forming patches of mottled light and shadow.
There is a comfortable chaise longue in front of the window, and next to it is a small coffee table with a few books on it.
Further in is the cloakroom and dressing room, where you can see some new clothes hanging inside, ranging from everyday casual wear to exquisite evening gowns.
Upon closer inspection, they were all the brands she wore most often.
Yun Zheng was somewhat surprised, but she just thought it was a coincidence and didn't think much about it.
"These clothes are all new for the season. I don't know what type you like, so I asked them to send them all over. If you don't like them, I'll have someone send some new ones over to you."
Yun Zheng looked back at the man, and a warm feeling welled up in her heart. "No need, I like it very much."
Yun Zheng continued to walk around the cloakroom. She took a quick look and was surprised to find that there was not a single item in the entire cloakroom that belonged to Fu Linghe.
All of them are women's clothing!
Yun Zheng was also a bit of a mouthful, and subconsciously asked, "Don't you live here?"
Fu Linghe raised his eyebrows slightly, and a mischievous smile flashed in his eyes.
He took a step forward, and the distance between them was instantly shortened. Yun Zheng could even smell the faint woody scent on him.
Fu Linghe's voice was low and magnetic. He leaned over slightly and whispered in her ear, "Why, Mrs. Fu is already impatient to know about my daily life?"
Yun Zheng's cheeks flushed instantly. She took a step back in panic, but accidentally bumped into the wardrobe behind her. "I... I was just asking casually."
She lowered her head, not daring to look directly into Fu Linghe's fiery gaze, and nervously tugged at the corners of her clothes with her hands.
Fu Linghe's smile deepened. He stood up straight, put his hands in his trouser pockets, and said casually, "This is our wedding room. Why wouldn't I live here?"
There was a hint of gentle expectation in his eyes, as if he was painting a picture of a sweet life that belonged only to the two of them.
Yun Zheng's heart skipped a beat. She raised her head, her eyes swept across Fu Linghe's deep eyes, then quickly looked away. "Well, that's... pretty good."
Her voice was so soft that it was almost inaudible, and an ambiguous and subtle atmosphere filled the room.
Fu Linghe took another step closer and reached out to gently smooth the hair by her ear. "Don't be so nervous. I told you, you just need to be yourself here."
His fingers accidentally touched Yun Zheng's cheek, and the warm touch made Yun Zheng's breathing stop.
Yun Zheng's eyes were evasive, and she stammered, "I...I understand."
Fu Linghe looked at her cute appearance and couldn't help laughing. "Okay, you take a rest first and pack your things. I'm downstairs, call me if you need anything."
After saying that, he turned and walked towards the door. Before leaving, he turned back and looked at Yun Zheng deeply, his eyes full of affection and attachment, and then he gently closed the door.
Yun Zheng stood there for a long time before she came back to her senses.
She gently patted her hot cheeks and took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart.
Fu Linghe could always easily disturb her thoughts, causing ripples in her originally calm heart.
