After a bomb exploded and destroyed the base, Si Yan transmigrated into a book.
Upon waking up, she found four adorable little snake cubs in front of her; future villains who would eventually...
Making distilled water from seawater is not difficult.
Si Yan found a large rock and had the people of the Illusory Territory work together to carve out a huge stone pot.
The stone pot was filled with seawater, and a match was burning underneath.
A large, smooth stone with grooves was placed on the pot lid to guide the water vapor to condense into water droplets, which then slid down the stone to the side, where a wooden bucket was used to catch the distilled water.
Once the device was ready, it was put into use immediately, and it went very smoothly, with distilled water being introduced into the wooden barrel drop by drop.
Si Yan went over and tried the water; it was tasteless distilled water and drinkable.
An excited smile spread across her face: "It's a success! The seawater has been turned into drinkable fresh water!"
"Really?"
Many orcs gathered around, and a few of the closer ones tried it out and their eyes lit up!
Holy crap, it really is drinkable!
"This is fresh water, it's not salty!"
"Oh my god, I can't believe I'm actually drinking seawater!"
Seeing everyone's excitement, Si Yan smiled and said:
"Do it this way, make more water tanks, distill and boil them together, that way there will be enough water to drink!"
"Good!" The orcs were excited.
The beastmen began to work with great enthusiasm to make distilled water devices. Even the snake-beastmen who were drowsy and about to hibernate overcame their sleepiness and got moving.
Soon, distillation equipment was set up one after another next to the lake filled with seawater.
Lan Hai jumped directly into the seawater he had brought in and rolled around in it. Once the water level dropped, he would bring in more seawater!
Meanwhile, the other freshwater mermaids could only look enviously at the blue sea, and then squat by the distilled water waiting to use it.
The beastmen gave the distilled water to the mermaids first, and the mermaids received several vats of distilled water, which they quickly entered to soak themselves.
The beastmen chattered amongst themselves: "I, Old Wolf, never imagined that seawater could one day be used for drinking!"
"Yes. I've always heard from my elders since I was little that seawater is undrinkable. So what am I drinking now?"
"Distilled water, Madam said, this is called distilled water!"
After the seawater had been boiled for a while, white crystals appeared at the bottom of the stone jar; these were coarse salt.
This was an unexpected bonus for the orcs!
The orcs were overjoyed. They poured the coarse salt into a pile, and slowly, more and more coarse salt accumulated.
Dong Chi and Nan Mo were entangled around Si Yan.
Now they eat and drink well, and grow fast. They look much thicker than when Si Yan first saw them.
Wang followed Si Yan nonchalantly until Si Yan confirmed the location of the cave. After Wang used his tail to dig a huge hole, he went inside and curled up to rest.
Si Yan was also tired, so she sat down on the ground and leaned against the dark purple snake-beastman.
"Great Demon King, we should be able to get past this level."
The snake-beastman shifted his body to make her more comfortable, as if the outside world were none of his concern.
Si Yan was still thinking about what happened today.
As long as they avoid war, the snake-beastmen can survive. As long as the snake-beastmen of the illusory territory survive smoothly, won't that fake tortoise in the sky suffer a great loss?!
Si Yan took a short nap to replenish her energy, and woke up not long after.
Hearing the commotion inside the cave, Tyson wagged his tail and came in.
"Si Yan, there are many orcs waiting to see you outside."
Si Yan smiled and asked, "Who are they?"
“Yinxiu, Yinhong, the White Eagle Beastman, and that little blue mermaid.”
Si Yan sat up and said, "Let them in."
Si Yan wasn't worried that they would disturb Wang and the others' sleep, because they were in a state of summer hibernation and weren't afraid of noise.
"Si Yan!"
Yin Hong greeted her excitedly, like a long-lost friend, "Si Yan, how are you?"
"I'm fine," Si Yan replied with a smile.
Si Yan looked at Yin Xiu, Yin Hong, Yin Qiu, Mu Xiao, and Xiao Lan Hai, and said:
"My place is very simple, please make yourselves at home."
The orcs didn't mind and simply sat down on the ground.
Little Lan Hai ran to Si Yan's side and looked directly at her. His clean little face lit up with a bright smile. "Mother!"
Si Yan smiled and invited him to sit next to her.
"Why are you here? Where are your parents?"
Mu Xiao then replied, "I know that. The high priest said that he has no parents; they are dead. So you are his only mother."
He and Si Yan rescued Lan Hai together, so he paid more attention to Lan Hai's situation.
Hearing this, Si Yan felt a little sorry for him and thought she should treat him as her own child.
So Lan Hai moved closer, and Si Yan did not refuse his advances.
The little mermaid was overjoyed. In his excitement, his tail transformed into a long, blue fishtail, glistening with rings of seawater.
"Mother!" he cried out obediently.
Si Yan patted his head. "I'll talk to the guests first, then I'll talk to you later."
Lan Hai nodded, very sensible and obedient, "Yes, Mother!"
Si Yan looked at the silver wolves. Yin Hong hadn't changed much, but Yin Qiu had changed a lot. She seemed to have matured a lot.
Si Yan asked, "About your father... are you alright?"
Yinqiu shook her head and smiled faintly: "I'm fine. Sister Siyan, I'm actually very grateful to you. I often think that if you hadn't discovered and exposed this matter, my father beast would probably have regretted it to death if he had killed the whole clan. Now my father beast did nothing wrong, and everyone is still alive. This ending is already very good. I have nothing more to ask for."
