Chapter Thirty-Five: Doubts

But everyone has selfish desires to some extent. He and Luo Jin's selfish desire was to raise the little cub by their side, even if she was not a Fireseed and was just an ordinary cub, they still wanted to adopt her.

Seeing Anuo's dependent little gesture, Luo Jin's heart melted. She gently stroked Anuo's head and asked, "Is baby sleepy? Shall I take baby back to sleep?"

Anno took her hand that was stroking him, closed his eyes, and said, "Here."

Logan understood what she meant: she wanted to sleep here and didn't want to go back to her room.

"Okay, baby, you can sleep here if you want. I'll stay with you."

Anno suddenly felt uneasy; she always had a strong sense of danger and didn't want to leave Logan's side.

"They're alright?"

Although Anno was a little sleepy, he was uneasy and couldn't sleep. He wanted to ask Login about Tuka and the others.

When she woke up earlier, Lokin had told her that Tuka and the others were doing well and that they had people taking care of them.

Lokin: "Baby wants to see them?"

Anno nodded.

"Those children are on another starship. If the baby wants to see them, they can watch videos. Once we reach the home planet, we can meet them in person."

After Lokin turned on his personal terminal and spoke with a staff member, he connected Tuka and the others via video link.

Tuka and the others are sleeping. Several children are sleeping in one room, not on the bed, but on the carpet. They are all sleeping in different positions, and they all look very relaxed. Tuka's tail is sticking out, and he has his two paws on one of the children and is drooling.

Although they had Anno's energy to support them, the battle on Casa had exhausted them. They ate and slept, sleeping even more than Anno.

Anno scanned the video several times but couldn't spot Huo Yin. She looked up and asked Luo Jin, "Huo Yin?"

Luo Jin paused for a moment: "Baby, are you asking about that little fire dragon that can breathe fire?"

Anno nodded.

After thinking for a moment, Luo Jin decided to connect Huo Yin's video to show her.

Anuo watched as Huo Yin was alone in a room in the video. The room was in a mess, with traces of fire everywhere.

He remained in his half-beast form, enveloped by the enormous dragon wings on his back, and lay fast asleep amidst the ashes.

Luo Jin said to her, "Little Flame Dragon is a little sick right now and can't be with everyone for the time being."

Anno had witnessed Huo Yin's previous agitated and berserk state, and he was clearly going berserk again in this state.

"Don't worry, baby, he'll be alright," Lokin comforted her, stroking her hair.

Actually, Huo Yin seemed a bit strange to them. Such a young child, and a different species at that, had such a severe mental disturbance. Mental disturbances usually occur at least in adulthood. There are exceptions, but they are very rare, and they are almost always seen in beast species.
