A modern wealthy young woman, Luo Jingyan, accidentally transmigrated to the 1970s, becoming a short-lived minor supporting character in a period novel. Her parents were framed, forcing her to take...
Luo Jingyan and her group of four arrived at the winery, where Uncle Li Jiu had already started working.
Because the brewing materials and tools in the distillery all need to be guarded, Uncle Li stayed here for the party. After getting up in the morning, he went home to eat first, and then came back.
He was stunned when he saw that there were three people following Luo Jingyan, and that the two young men were wearing military uniforms.
He hadn't paid much attention to the educated youth in the village before, so he didn't know Zhao Jun. Xue Yanchen had never been an educated youth in Shengli Brigade, so he knew him even less.
Luo Jingyan introduced Xue Yanchen, Zhao Jun, and Qin Zhenzhen to him, saying, "This is my boyfriend, this is one of his comrades-in-arms, and this is my boyfriend's cousin."
She then introduced Uncle Li to the three men: "This is Uncle Li, he usually brews wine here with me."
After learning Xue Yanchen's true identity, Uncle Li opened his mouth to address Xue Yanchen, but for a moment he didn't know how to address him.
What should he call his master's partner?
Teacher's wife?
That's not right.
She's not a woman, oh, she's not a girl.
Calling him "Master" isn't right either. His master is Luo Jingyan, and his master's other half is also called "Master".
Ugh, this is really tough on me!
He could only humbly and respectfully ask Luo Jingyan, "Master, how should I address your partner?"
Luo Jingyan smiled and said, "His name is Xue Yanchen. You can call him Xiao Xue or Yanchen."
"I call my master's partner 'Little Xue,' the 'Little' part." If I say it out loud, will my master spank me?
Hey, his master would never spank him. She's a fair-skinned little girl; he'd probably find it dirty to spank her.
Uncle Li smiled and said, "If Master doesn't mind, then I'll call him by his name, Yanchen."
He looked at Xue Yanchen.
Xue Yanchen smiled and said, "Uncle Jiu, I don't mind. You can call me whatever you want."
"Hehehe, then I'll call you by your name." Uncle Li suddenly felt like he had gotten a great deal, as if he had a rebellious feeling of being able to call his elders by their names, which was quite enjoyable.
Luo Jingyan checked the fermentation of the yeast cakes and made detailed notes in her notebook.
Only Luo Jingyan and Uncle Li were busy in the distillery; no one else could help. By midday, Luo Jingyan had finished her work and handed over the rest to Uncle Li. She then asked the team leader for leave and wouldn't be coming in the afternoon.
When the captain saw that Xue Yanchen was also there, he immediately granted them leave so that the young couple could reunite.
Then the four of them went back to Luo Jingyan's place together.
On the way back, the three of them started discussing what to eat for lunch.
In the end, everyone agreed to go back and make dumplings, because making dumplings is the most festive way to celebrate family reunion.
Zhao Jun chopped the meat, Xue Yanchen peeled the scallions, Qin Zhenzhen kneaded the dough, and Luo Jingyan was in charge of preparing the dumpling filling. The four of them worked in an orderly manner.
They all knew how to make dumplings. Xue Yanchen and Zhao Jun learned in the army, Luo Jingyan was a chef in her previous life and made the most beautiful dumplings, and Qin Zhenzhen was in charge of rolling out the dumpling wrappers. They quickly finished making the dumplings.
After eating and resting for a while, the four of them decided to go for a walk in the mountains.
Zhao Jun had some ulterior motives towards Qin Zhenzhen. On the way up the mountain, he secretly followed Xue Yanchen, deliberately widening the distance between them and Luo Jingyan and Qin Zhenzhen.
Seeing that he was acting mysteriously and deliberately preventing him from being with Luo Jingyan, he naturally didn't want to.
"Zhao Jun, what do you want to do?"
Zhao Jun glanced at Luo Jingyan and Qin Zhenzhen subconsciously, and asked in a wicked tone, "Brother Chen, when you came here last night, did you do anything with Luo Zhiqing?"
Xue Yanchen knew what kind of nonsense was going through his head. "I won't do that kind of thing to her before we get married."
"Then you two must have been very affectionate, hehe."
"We've been together for so long, can't we even hug or kiss?"
Zhao Jun felt a strong urge to join in, "To be honest, I want to too."
Hearing his words, Xue Yanchen's expression turned serious. "Let me tell you, what you want to do is your business. You can't force Zhenzhen. It has to be Zhenzhen's own choice."
“I know, I know. It seems like only you, her cousin, care about her. I care about her too much. If she doesn’t want to, I would rather die than force her.” He looked around: “I think this place is pretty good. There are hills all around, it’s quiet, and we won’t be seen by others. Most importantly, you and Luo Zhiqing need to create opportunities for us to be alone.”
Xue Yanchen didn't speak, paused for a moment, and then quickened his pace and walked forward.
"Did you agree, or didn't you agree?"
All he got in response was a back view.
The four of them walked around the mountain. Xue Yanchen took Luo Jingyan's hand and looked at a place full of yellow wildflowers: "Do you like those flowers? If you do, let's go over there."
Luo Jingyan smiled at her: "Okay."
Xue Yanchen had no interest in appreciating the flowers; the young girl beside him was more beautiful than any flower.
The two of them walked towards the yellow wildflowers. Zhao Jun, afraid that Qin Zhenzhen would follow, immediately grabbed Qin Zhenzhen's hand. "Zhenzhen, don't go over there. I think those two probably want to get intimate over there. Let's not disturb them. Hey, I see there are wildflowers over there too. Let's go over there."
Qin Zhenzhen thought for a moment. She couldn't go over and interrupt her cousin and his wife's intimate moment, so she agreed to Zhao Jun: "Okay, let's go to the other side."
Zhao Jun was overjoyed. Brothers were meant to be betrayed, and he felt no guilt towards Xue Yanchen.
