A modern wealthy young woman, Luo Jingyan, accidentally transmigrated to the 1970s, becoming a short-lived minor supporting character in a period novel. Her parents were framed, forcing her to take...
Liu Family
Li Hongying lay on the earthen bed with bruises all over her face and body.
Damn it, Liu's mother didn't take good care of her during her postpartum period. Not only did she not cook for her, but when she cooked for herself, she complained that she was eating eggs from home, warning her that she couldn't eat eggs if she couldn't give birth to a son, and then hid the eggs.
She just felt wronged and said a few harsh words to Liu's mother, and Liu's mother went to Liu Aiguo and complained about her.
Liu Aiguo was biased towards his mother and didn't care about the details of the matter. He blindly listened to his mother and, upon learning that his mother had been wronged, immediately started punching and kicking Li Hongying, regardless of whether she was in postpartum confinement.
Li Hongying's injuries were somewhat severe. Even after Liu Aiguo stopped hitting her and she rested properly, she needed to stay in bed for a few days to recover.
Originally, she planned to go find Zhuang Feifei after her postpartum period and fight her to the death to get the last drop of blood from her. But now that she is injured, she has to postpone her plans for a few more days.
She strained on the bed. Damn it, what bad luck! She was about to get Zhuang Feifei's last drop of blood, but something always went wrong.
Because of Liu Aiguo's irritability and his mother's fussiness, she has been trying to be as careful as possible these days, so as not to provoke the mother and son.
Once she obtains Zhuang Feifei's space, the first thing she will do is use the weapons within Zhuang Feifei's space to thoroughly torture the Liu family mother and son, thus venting her anger.
When Liu's mother entered the house, she glared at Li Hongying even though she saw that Li Hongying was covered in injuries.
"A hen that can't even lay an egg, unable to give the Liu family a son or daughter, and all it does is cause us trouble. Our family is unlucky, how did we end up marrying you?"
When Li Hongying specifically asked a matchmaker to propose marriage to her family, she was flattered and surprised that a young and beautiful girl had taken a liking to Aiguo and even came to propose marriage. She was overjoyed.
But who knew that after marrying her, she either never got pregnant, or she got pregnant but didn't even know it and ended up having a miscarriage? How could she be so stupid!
If her patriotic husband had married someone else, she might have been able to hold her grandson in a few months.
Liu's mother didn't give Li Hongying a friendly look, and Li Hongying didn't dare to offend Liu's mother again in order to maintain peace these days.
She is now in a period of learning from King Goujian of Yue, who endured hardship and humiliation to achieve his goal. A small lack of patience can ruin a great plan, so she must be able to endure it.
She patiently smiled ingratiatingly at Liu's mother and said, "Mother."
Liu's mother sensed something was wrong with her. Why was she suddenly being so nice to her? Had she been beaten into submission by her son?
She lowered her eyelids and said coldly, "It's enough that you know how to treat your mother-in-law. Aiguo hitting you is a lesson for you, to make you understand that you should respect and be filial to your elders. Do you know what to do from now on?"
"I know, Mother, I remember. I will never talk back to you again, and I will never speak harshly to you again." She'll only beat you hard, provided she has already received that immense wealth from Zhuang Feifei.
“That’s how a daughter-in-law should act. Can you get up? If you can, go cook. Oh dear, I’m getting old, my back and legs are always uncomfortable, they hurt so much.”
Li Hongying was furious with Liu's pretentious mother, but she put on a completely different act, trying her best to flatter and please her: "Okay, Mother, you're not feeling well, so please rest. I'll go cook right away."
She gritted her teeth and got up, limping into the kitchen.
Hmph, you old hag, I'll make you pay tenfold for all the mistreatment you've done to me!
A few more days passed in the blink of an eye. When Zhuang Feifei looked in the mirror, she discovered that the mole on her collarbone had grown to the same size as the bloodstone pendant.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Now that this mole has grown to this extent, is it about to detach from her body, and with it, her space will also leave?
She sensed that the space was still safely on her, and she breathed a sigh of relief.
She had finally obtained a cheat code, which contained a lot of resources, and she really didn't want to lose it.
Luo Jingyan had been busy at the winery for many days, and finally had some free time, so she planned to go to the county town to visit Grandma Qin.
She took out some homemade snacks from her spatial storage, intending to bring them to the Qin family.
When she arrived at the Qin family home, Qin Zhenzhen happened to be there as well. Upon seeing her, Qin Zhenzhen asked, "My cousin should have written you a letter by now, right?"
Luo Jingyan nodded, then asked her, "Zhao Jun should have written to you by now, right?"
Qin Zhenzhen was a little embarrassed, but still nodded.
Luo Jingyan said, "Feelings need to be cultivated slowly. I have high hopes for you two."
"In his letter, Zhao Jun said that he was going on another mission to a border war zone and probably wouldn't be able to write to me for a month or two."
Luo Jingyan's heart clenched, because she thought of Xue Yanchen.
Zhao Jun and Xue Yanchen are old partners. When Zhao Jun goes on a mission, Xue Yanchen will definitely be there too.
Moreover, Xue Yanchen should have been assigned more missions than Zhao Jun.
However, Xue Yanchen did not mention this matter in the letter, choosing not to tell her for fear of worrying her.
What will their mission be like? Will it be dangerous?
She knew nothing of this and could only silently pray that Xue Yanchen would return safely.
Qin Zhenzhen brought out a fish from the kitchen. "Sister-in-law, my second aunt's husband caught two fish in the river and gave them to our family. We'll cook fish for lunch. Sister-in-law, you're a good cook, so you can take charge of the cooking, and I'll help you."
"Okay, what flavor would you like to eat?"
Grandma Qin smiled and said, "I'm fine with whatever you want, you two decide."
After discussing it with Qin Zhenzhen, Luo Jingyan decided to make braised fish, which was Qin's favorite dish.
