Although these are couplets for a wedding, their content is themed around the Red Revolution, symbolizing the characteristics of this era.

After that, Qiu Aizhen began to cut and paste the large red "double happiness" characters on the door, windows, and walls. After she finished cutting them, several people next to her pasted them on.

Jing Yanhong made a red embroidered ball out of red silk for the groom to wear on his chest. Fang Aihong was also skillful and made a very beautiful red embroidered ball.

She even held it up in front of Xue Yanchen and said, "Groom, look how pretty your sister-in-law is with this embroidered ball. Is she good enough for you?"
