The front desk staff was startled by Attorney Qin’s piercing gaze, nervously saying, "Qin—Attorney Qin, I didn’t say anything..." Did she accidentally let her thoughts slip? Why else would Attorney Qin ask her to be quiet? The front desk staff felt anxious.

Qin Lvzheng didn’t say anything further and headed toward his office, his steps a bit quicker and larger. The law firm wasn’t just staffed by Qin Lvzheng; some clients who couldn’t afford his fees would opt for other lawyers in his firm. It was already work hours, and most employees were present, except for a few out on fieldwork.

As he reached his office door, Qin Lvzheng noticed Ann occasionally rubbing her ears, but he only heard greetings from the staff, nothing else. Once inside and after closing the door, Ann finally relaxed in his arms.

Qin Lvzheng sat on the sofa, looking worriedly at her: "Ann, was it noisy? Are you uncomfortable?" He realized he should have brought Ann over when it was less crowded.

Qin Sui’an shook her little head and softly said, "It wasn’t too uncomfortable, just the older brothers and sisters like to scream." The staff controlled their mouths but couldn’t contain their excitement at seeing Attorney Qin with a little girl, leaving them all shocked.

Not knowing what to do, Qin Lvzheng couldn’t quiet the staff since they hadn’t spoken out loud. Ann reached out her little hand to comfort her Third Brother, saying, "Don’t worry, Third Brother."

Then she changed the subject, excitedly asking, "Can Ann look around your office?"

Qin Lvzheng nodded immediately, "Of course."

"Then you go work, Ann will explore~" Qin Sui’an climbed down from the sofa and hurried to the floor-to-ceiling window.

She leaned against the glass, her big eyes like beautiful black grapes, reflecting the scenery outside. Her Third Brother had said that they could see where Daddy worked—their family’s corporate building.

Qin Sui’an spotted the distant Qin Corporation building and exclaimed, "Daddy is over there~"

Unfortunately, it was too far away to see more than the building’s windows.

Just then, someone knocked on the office door.

While watching Ann, Qin Lvzheng walked over to open it.

Outside, the assistant respectfully handed him something: "Attorney Qin, here’s the telescope you requested."

"Thanks." Qin Lvzheng took the telescope and turned to Ann, crouching down to give it to her: "Ann, maybe you can see with this."

"Telescope?" Qin Sui’an tilted her head, curiously staring at the telescope in her Third Brother’s hands. "But Ann doesn’t know how to use it."

"I’ll teach you." Qin Lvzheng patiently showed Ann how to use the telescope, adjusting the tube’s distance and turning the focus wheel until it was clear.

Qin Sui’an, being a clever little one, quickly grasped it after one demonstration, aiming the telescope at their family’s corporate building.

With the telescope, the building gradually came into focus, and she could even see people moving behind the glass windows.

Qin Sui’an was thrilled, looking down layer by layer until she spotted her familiar office.

It was Daddy’s office!

Though she didn’t see her father, Qin Sui’an was very happy and excitedly told her Third Brother, "Third Brother, I saw Daddy’s office!"

"Okay." Feeling inexplicably happy, Qin Lvzheng raised the telescope to look toward their family’s corporate building.

Ann wasn’t lying; he could indeed see his father’s office clearly.

However, from their angle, he couldn’t tell if anyone was inside.

If they called, their dad would definitely come to the window, and then they could see him.

As Qin Lvzheng pondered whether to make a call, he heard Ann’s soft voice.

"No need to call Daddy, he’s busy." Qin Sui’an looked at her still-worried Third Brother and seriously said, "Don’t worry about Ann, Third Brother, go do your work~"

The Great White Goose ran over, tugging on its leash, "Quack, quack."

Qin Sui’an smiled and said, "The Great White Goose says it will keep Ann company~ But we need to unclip its long leash first; it doesn’t like dragging it around."

Qin Lvzheng glanced at the Great White Goose, then checked the office door to ensure it was closed before reaching out to unclip its leash.

Just to be safe, he warned, "The Great White Goose can’t run around; it must be on the leash outside the office."

The law firm covered an entire floor, which wasn’t small, and a loud Great White Goose could end up in trouble if an employee took it to the cafeteria for soup.

Qin Sui’an gasped, hugging the Great White Goose, "It’s dangerous! You can’t run around! You’ll be caught and turned into soup!"

The Great White Goose nodded vigorously, its fluffy little head bobbing: "Quack!" Absolutely no running away!

Seeing how well the goose and Ann got along, Qin Lvzheng went to his desk.

It was his first time working with Ann nearby, and it felt strangely wonderful. He wasn’t bothered by it; in fact, he was happy, even finding the annoying case materials more bearable.

Qin Sui’an and the Great White Goose quietly explored the office, not interrupting Qin Lvzheng’s work.

After checking out her Third Brother’s office, Qin Sui’an ran back to the window, lifting the telescope to look at her Daddy’s office.

Though she still couldn’t see her dad, she remained cheerful, smiling widely.

Suddenly, the office phone rang. Qin Lvzheng pressed the answer button and then the speakerphone.

The assistant’s voice came through: "Attorney Qin, your client has arrived and is in the reception room. He says he has urgent matters to discuss with you."
