Those in the Lower City survive in a cramped, suffocating underground where no light ever reaches—even the air is lethal.
In a dark alley, a crazed old man laughs madly as he gulps down cheap liquor and howls at the sky:
“Oh, noble masters of the Upper City! In your eyes, do we people of the Lower City…
count as human at all?”
